We got one new GSM line yesterday, and the other should be available tomorrow.

We gave up a 83xx-xxxx TDMA line, cause they said we couldn't switch it to GSM. The line we got yesterday... 83xx-xxxx GSM.

My wife says an individual can own only 3 cellular lines. That true? Guess I'll have to order the 4th and 5th line using one of our S.A.s.

about the limit it comes and goes, at some point when there was plenty of lines they didnt have that limit (I think)

they should get to my request for a line.......sometime in February (I requested it in July) :missingte

I did not want to kill the guys business, but if you own an S.A. (Which anoyone over the years of 18 should for cars and homes here in CR) you can get a cel phone line with no problem and no residency is needed......

I just got 2 new lines because I racked up over 180,000 colones on my bill in my name and I decided to just get two new lines instead of pay til I get on my feet and used my S.A. with no probs and used my passport......... I am back in business!!!!!!!

you are lucky that the 'credit reporting agency' (US style) probably doesn't have a provision for non-financial companies to report this sort of unpaid debt (they already have something like a credit bureau where they keep track on whether or not you pay your loans/credit cards etc on time)

how did you manage to do that? I pay 4k colones on my cellphone (I hate the darn things.......), I am sure you know about voip since you have mentioned it before

did you end up in an area without broadband coverage or something?

I racked up an expensive cel bill because I was calling the USA alot like a dumbass at peak business ours all day trying to chase a dream..... If it sounds too good to be true then it is....... I was sucker into someones false promise and I am embarassed to even go into details, but the good thing is I am back in San Jose during the week working again and I will get back out of the hole soon....... Times got tough for a while which is why I was offline for so long.... It´s going to suck when I do decide to pay that bill :sad3:
