Uconn -2 1 unit
<o> </o>
This sickening ND home winning streak will come to an end today. Uconn will be the toughest opponent ND has seen at home during this streak bottom line.
<o> </o>
Never was sold on the ND squad and I refuse to show them any kind of respect. Uconn has quietly racked up something like 5 wins against ranked teams, something no other team can boast. This is their shot to show that they are the best in the conference possibly the nation.
<o> </o>
McAlarney will knock down some 3’s but the inside D and rebounding will be the edge for Uconn. Expect Thabeet to have his way with Harangody. If you look closely Harangody has been playing very poorly lately in his last 3 games he has averaged over 26 shots making 10 of them. Those defenders were Earl Clark/Samardo Samuels, Robert Mitchell/ John Garcia and Arinze Onuaku and Rick Jackson.. tough defenders but nothing like Hasheem Thabeet. I saw Harangody recently resort to the fade away mid range jumper to free up some room that was barely catching any rim. He has been filling it up simply because he is taking so many shots missing and getting his own rebounds.
<o> </o>
Uconn is simply a more efficient and disciplined offense that has shown to be more consistent. Should be a clean game both teams are pretty good taking care of the ball.
<o> </o>
A few hiccups on Uconn’s 3pt defense against Cincy and Gtown but otherwise they defend the 3 well. McAlarney has been red hot, cannot expect him to keep shooting this well against this D. The way I see it if the Huskies can slow down the ND 3 pt rainstorm they should win.
