Mass +27 @ Penn St (1)
Penn St off to a 3-0 start and coming off a hard fought 13-10 W over Rutgers thanks to 5to's by Rutgers. Penn St has another conf game against NW the following week. You don't want to overlook Mass at 0-3. They actually have played pretty decent losing to BC by 23, Colorado by, and Vandy by 3. Mass missed a 22 yard fg with 4 seconds left last week. It just seems like 27 points is a lot to ask of a team that has only scored 26, 21, and 13, for a 20 ppg average. Going to take the spot for a small play.
Cal @ Zona -9 (2)
Cal off to a 2-0 start but their two opponents appear to be very weak imo. They beat Sac St 55-14 and NW 31-24. The fact remains that they are 3-16 su last 19 games and 4-15 ats last 19 games. They have played Zona tough and Zona does have Oregon on deck. Zona at 3-0 and have everyone in that state pumped up. After a narrow 5 point win at Cal last year I just would be very surprised if this years Zona team let's them hang around. I'm a sucker and this one has suckered me in for a 2 unit play.
Utah @ Michigan -5 (2)
Utah off to a great start at 3-0 and put up 59, 56, and 24 points against Fresno, Idaho St, and Colorado. Now they will be tested in front of over 100,000 fans at the big house. Michigan at 2-1 and coming off a very flat w last Sat in what was a hangover game after the embarrassing loss to the Irish. At home Michigan has won 21 out of their last 23 games. Utah is 2-9 straight up last 11 away games and 2-6 ats last 8 on the road. I think Michigan offense will score enough to cover this under 7 spread as I have them winning by 10 to 14.
Marshall @ Akron +9 (1)
Marshall at 3-0 and are loaded for bear on offense. Akron at 1-1 and have a pretty good defense and the luxury of have a week off to prepare for the thundering herd attack. I hate to go against Marshall but really feel this one will be close and if Marshall isn't careful they could go down.
Miss St @ LSU -10 (1)
A lot of hype for Miss St and rightfully so. LSU first big test since the Wiscy game as they went through the motions in their last couple of games and with NMS on deck their will be no look ahead. I believe LSU will wear them down in the second half just like they did against Wiscy and win this game by at least 10 or more.
Still have way to many leans that I have to try and narrow down.
good luck everyone
