Should have played that Iowa bet larger.

All 4 of the final teams are playing hot. All playing at their best of the season right now, and all have beaten some really good competition. However, going back many years, it seems that defensive minded teams have done better in final 4 matchups. That defensive, physical mentality can break down a good offensive team. So on that note:

2* UConn -5.5 The Huskies have made me much money riding them through the tourney. That semi-professional demeanor is impressive. Yet, it is rare to see a NCAA Tournament team win consecutive easy wins, so I'm a little wary here. Not gonna overthink it, but Miami could lose and cover.

1.8* SD State -2 (-120) Can't underestimate this FAU team, but they have almost played over their heads the last few games. SD State gets buckets off their stifling D, and I regret not playing them more through the tournament. They almost remind me of past Virginia or Texas Tech teams, in the final 4, and how their great defense can play even tougher.

Last night I saw briefly that Caesar's had SanDiego St at -3. I don't know for how long, but last I looked this morning it's back to -2.5. I'm likly to pass this game..
But think U Conn is a great money line bet.

Was just making this same comparison. Couldn’t agree more.

I guess the ML was the right play on SD State. Oh well, still broke even. Final play:

3* UConn - 7 (-120) Can UConn do it again? SD State more likely than UConn to have a slightly off night. The Aztecs just don't have enough ball handlers or ball movement on offense. Too much isolation. I really think FAU outplayed them for much of the game, but gave up too many offensive boards 2nd half, got cold 2nd half, and SD State hit a few tough 3s. UConn just looks so decisive with the ball. Great players that play great as a team. IMO, only a dreadful shooting night can beat them.

That's a wrap. Unusual to see a tournament team like UConn, one that not only wins but covers every game.
