Yesterday: 6-5 with 3 very close losses, did real good on the leans.

1H: Davidson -9 1/2

I think Davidson may jump on them early, and they shoot 3's and ft's at a very nice %. Won big last year at CF. CF should be much better this year.

1H: Akron -5

What a nice experienced team and a very strong program going in the hoops. I just think they have to much exp and speed in this one.

Akron -9

Same as above

Western Michigan +5 1/2

I think this team will get up and down the court and make it hard for the Blue Demons in their home opener. While I expect DePaul to improve on their 12-20 record, I just don't know about them spotting points this early to a team that was 20-14 last year with key injuries that prevented them from being even better.

Memphis -17

They return 4 starters from a 18-14 team. S. Miss returns 1 starter from a 9-20 team that was left in bad shape with violations. S. Miss coach (Doc Sadler), if you remember ran that slow down offense at Neb that was both slow and boring. They say they will pick it up a notch, I think they will have to or Memphis might run them out of the gym. Memphis coach Pastner had better get them going this year or he might be in the bleachers watching games instead of coaching them.

good luck

K got a nice little tune up yesterday and looked at a lot of things in that game. I look for them to play much better today. NJIT is a nice little team but overmatched on the road in their opener.

Harvard +10

Taking them because of the spot. They are a well coached team and return enough to give Providence a run for their money. Prov has a lot of new face and their supposed to be very good so who knows this early in the season. I'll take the spot.

slate:

1H: Davidson -9 1/2
1H: Akron -5
Akron -9
Western Michigan +5 1/2
Memphis -17
Harvard +10
Kentucky -22
