Briefly, as I have family in from out of town for the holidays

#528 Memphis -4 -105

Miss at 8-2 and 5-4 ats scoring 75.6 ppg giving up 67.2 ppg for a diff of 8.4
Memphis at 7-2 and 3-4 ats scoring 78.7 ppg giving up 66.6 ppg for a diff of 12.1

This was a tough line for them to make. Both teams are off to a nice start. I definitely like the home team in this matchup. Even though Miss is 3-0 on true road games they have lost 2 games on a neutral court. Miss 3 w's on true road games were against Bradley (2-10), SEMO (0-9) and UMass (6-4). This will be their first really big test against a tough home team. Memphis is very deep as they returned 4 players that starts last year and now two of them come off the bench. They have the Lawson twins and transfer Tarrant who are new to the team between the 3 of them are 35 ppg and 15 rebs. I may lose this one as Miss is a very good shooting team, but I do like my chances with the home team.

#530 BYU -11 -110

C. Mich at 5-4 and 0-4 ats scoring 75.7 ppg giving up 72.4 ppg for a diff of 3.2
BYU at 6-3 and 3-2-1 ats scoring 80.9 ppg giving up 70.7 ppg for a diff of 10.2

When I look at CM w's, all 5 of them, teams like Alma College, Texas Southern, Jackson St, Aquinas, McNees St, it just makes me wonder how on earth they will be able to compete with a team like BYU on the road. BYU with a strong rebounding team should easily have their way for easy put backs and the big's should influence CM's shots. BYU have been tested with losses to Colorado, Long Beach St and Utah, all on the road. If BYU can take away the perimeter shooting of CM, then we should have a possible coaster, if not then another nail biter to cover the spread.

#532 Washington St -9 1/2 -115

Texas St at 5-2 and 1-1 ats scoring 65.9 ppg giving up 56.6 ppg for a diff of 9.3
Wash St at 6-2 and 5-2 ats scoring 78.4 ppg giving up 67.6 ppg for a diff of 10.8

TS shooting 41.6% fg, 65.4% ft, and making 3.6 3's a game
WS shooting at 50.2 % fg, and 71.3 ft, and averaging 7 3's a game.

A much tougher schedule for Wash St and the home factor (5-1 ats) the fg and ft shooting makes this a no brainer play for me. Doesn't mean that it will win, just means I feel like I have the best shot for my money.

good luck everyone

#538 Nevada -8 1/2 -110

Santa Clara at 4-7 and 2-6-1 ats scoring 63.4 ppg giving up 66.7 ppg for a diff of -3.4
Nevada at 7-3 and 4-4 ats scoring 82.6 ppg giving up 68.8 ppg for a diff of 13.8

I like it. I looked at schedules and still think the line should be around 11.

Numbers:

SC shooting 39.5% fg, 71.9 % ft, and 30% from 3 pt land, 38.6 rebs, 1.9 blocks, and 13.4 to's
Nev shooting 44.6% fg, 73.2 ft, and 33.7 from 3 pt land, and 49.2 rebs with 7.8 blocks and 12.7 to's

Nevada are 6th in the country in rebs and the 7.6 blocked shots have helped to hold their opponents to 36.5% fg for 12th in nation. Gotta like those numbers.

Santa Clara is 1-10 SU in its last 11 games on the road
Santa Clara are 2-6-1 ats

really like the rebounding diff

SC 9.6 off rebs and 26.2 def rebs for a total of= 35.8
Nev 15.1 off rebs and 30.5 def rebs for a total of = 45.6

Santa Clara has been on a roll winning their last 4 games. They were over BC, Ark Pine Bluff, Pacific Union, San Jose St, all 4 teams with losing records.

Nevada is capable of owning this game from start to finish. Will they though, as they are only 1-3 ats at home.

That's why it's gambling though, and I'm betting on Nevada in this one.
