NCAA for the week of 12/9

great question Roux,
to be honest I havent looked much at this game yet, havent even looked in the paper to see what the local yaks have to say. I did look at the matchups from a numbers standpoint. I dont understand why Texas is favored. Yeah, the Longhorns blew out teams like Wofford, (that's what is supposed to happen) but I tend to think that may actually work against them here. AZ has played some actual competiton, and been in close games. For me, its either a wager on AZ or pass. I told one of my IM buddies this might be a good one to play on the 2nd half (or pass). Taking UT -2.5 or -3 is asking them to win by 4 or 5. I sure hope they do it, but 55% of the time do they win convincingly at AZ right now? I see value in the +130. I do need to mention that I havent been following either program like I would have liked. I am trying to overcome exhaustion which has set in since I havent taken a break in forever, so things like following college programs has suffered. Another thing worth mentioning, I have noticed that quite often the road team wins the first half and the home team comes back to win the game and cover in the 2nd. Best of luck. Still looking at some other games, not sure if I will bite.

Thanks for the info. Looks like it will probably be a pass for me, as well. Some better ones on the board tonight. Also, not sure if you know or not, but the game is at Madison Square Garden. Tonight I like CS Fullerton, BC, and Baylor. FWIW, Baylor opened at a pick and is currently -1.5. GL

I just realized it was in the Garden tonite, lol. Now it makes more sense for them to be favored. I dont think I'm going to take a full game bet on this one. One of the things that a lot of the public sees is the rankings. They equate a higher ranking to a team "actually being better" or covering the points as a favorite all too often. As far as this game is concerned, this is the last of an eight game series, AZ won the previous 7. Texas should be up for this one. Not saying AZ wont be, as two great coaches meet tonight. Should be a great game. Pass on it for now.
