better team getting points. to beat west virginia you need to be strong in the fundamentals: running the ball and stopping the run. theres a reason south florida has had success against wvu the last handful of years. they are physical with the mountaineers and they run the ball right at their sieve of a defense. auburn has been statistically inept this year offensively ... yet they have the pieces the gash wvu's defense. auburn is a perfect example of a team who had no business changing their philosophy just to follow the trend of spread offenses. tigers are at their best when they are running the football and playing power football. screw the finesse shit so many phony teams are running these days. sure the fans like it but in the end you win titles and conference championships with some of the simplest concepts out there. their unnecessary experiment blew up in their face and hopefully now they will get back to playing auburn football because there are plenty of yards to be had against wvu's defense and this can be the game that the tigers can use as a springboard for a stretch run as they work their way toward the big games in late november. this is a good football team. they dont have the identity they should have right now but they are a top 15 kind of team that is capable of getting the job done on the road tonight. i expect them to do just that.
