Did Ohio State beat any decent team by more than a TD last year? What gives. I'll go against the hype of the National Champs.

Can someone give the Historical ATS of returning National Champs..

NC State looks like the play here.Their QB is solid and they should be able to hang here.To many points for OSU to be laying in this spot!

good luck!

"Did Ohio State beat any decent team by more than a TD last year?"

Ohio State 25 - Washington State 7

Ohio State 45 - Texas Tech 21

Ohio State 42 - Minnesota 3

I see this NC State game as being very similar to the Wazzou game. Both had very good QBs and both are not considered to be very physical. It wasn't until Ohio State started playing the rugged Big 10 schedule (and Clarett got banged up) did they struggle with close games.

Ohio State will unquestionably control the line of scrimmage in this game. I don't think people realize how good Ohio State's D-Line is going to be. They will manhandle NC State's O-Line much like they did Miami in the Fiesta Bowl. With that being said, I would like to wait and see if the Clarett situation is resolved before choosing a side in this game.

If MoC is cleared to play (which I believe he will), then OSU more than likely covers the spread.

Sorry fred

I think their 1st loss will be this one vs NC ST. I can see OSU losing about 3 games this year and this will be one. They will not pull out the close ones this year. JUST MY OPINION!

Mo;

Playing Wisky on the road at night and playing Michigan in Ann Arbor in the 100th All-Time meeting will be difficult if not impossible for tOSU to win.

Losing to NC State at home early in the season WILL NOT HAPPEN - especially with the talent that we have. I don't believe tOSU has lost a nonconference home game since 1990.

NC State will have to wait until next year to get the win against the Buckeyes.

cincyfred is right about the d line. what a bunch of studs. i think the offensive line will be a strength also. the shoe will be a zoo for the game. i think i'll do a little tailgating before going in for the game.

Miami were 4-7 ATS last year.
Oklahoma were 6-6 ATS in 2001.
Fla. St. were 8-4 ATS in 2000.
Tenn were 7-3-1 ATS in 1999.

Bowl games not included !

PHILIP RIVERS WHO HAS 26 WINS SO FAR WINS THIS GAME THEN THE HEISMEN WILL BE HIS TO LOSE,NC ST.IS 8-2 AS ROAD DOGS THE LAST 3 YEARS,ALSO NC ST.HAS T.A. MCLENDON WHO HAS 196 TDS THE LAST 5 YEARS MAY BE BETTER THAN CLARETT,ADD A COUPLE OF GAME BREAKING WRS.AND YOU DONT SACK RIVERS
THIS OFFENSE WILL SCORE POINTS,THE PROBLEM MAY BE THE DEFENSE WHICH HAS TO REBUILD THIS YEAR,EVERYTHING I HAVE READ THIS YEAR SAYS THE OHIO ST. OFFENSE WILL BE SUPER...PLEASE IF THIS TEAM WINS THIS YEAR THEY WILL WIN JUST LIKE LAST YEAR WITH THEIR DEFENSE AND THE OFFENSES JOB WILL BE NOT TO LOSE THE GAME,MAY THE FOOTBALL GODS BE WITH YOU THIS SEASON,REALSWAMI

I think that even though cincyfred and buckeyetodd may be homers, they are right. The majority of people out there are going to be on NC State. Especially with the trouble Clarrett is in. Personally I think Ross will do fine at RB if Clarett is out.

I think OSU will control the line of scrimmage on both sides and wear NC State out.

I see a 26-9 score.

I see NC State hanging around for a half but Ohio State will DEFINITELY wear them down in the 2nd Half.

Also, the entire O-Line returns and has collectively lost 200 lbs during the offseason. They should be much quicker and that should make for a more prolific passing game.

Yes, I am a Buckeye Homer and I don't apologize for that. However, if you do a search on this board you will find that I have been on the other side of quite a few Ohio State games. I am certainly not opposed to picking against tOSU if the price is right. At this point, I truly believe that tOSU will manhandle NC State.
