Boston -11 1/2 (1)
I like their reserves so hopefully they won't lose a beat throughout the game, Philly still sketchy, a lot of points but will take a shot at it on opening night.
Toronto -5 1/2 (1)
They practically have the same team that won their division last year and a very good 2nd team. They are experienced and had a fine ex season. The Pacers will go smaller line up and Bird had a big part (say) in the new up tempo offense this season. Problem is they only have two starters left from 2 years ago and the roster appears to lack in depth.
Chicago -5 (1)
A great opportunity for the Bulls to start out at 2-0. (Love sank the cover with 2 late 3's) They catch a Nets team that will be missing J Jack (PG) and have some players nursing injuries. I like that the Bulls got a game under their belts last night. Brooklyn 38-44 last year just don't have the talent to take this game, and hopefully the Bulls can put them away for a road cover.
Memphis under 186.5 (1)
Hoping that Cleveland might be a little tired and miss some shots and that Memphis will take off from last year with some tough D. The total has gone under in 6 of Cleveland's last 8 games on the road and Memphis total has gone under in 5 of Memphis last 6 games. Just a gamble as with all bets.
Milwaukee under 192 1/2 (1)
Always dangerous playing the under because of OT. In this case these two teams have gone over in 5 of last 7 games. Milw D really picked it up last year and NY has struggled on the road. Just because it's the opener I'm hoping for poor shooting and lack of execution. Milw really gets back on D so hopefully NY won't get the gravy points. I leaned towards Milw but decided to try the under.
good luck
