Key matchup: Rasho Nesterovic vs. Yao Ming. Nesterovic averaged 16.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks during the Spurs' three-game road trip, but he steps up in competition tonight. Yao had his first 20-20 game Saturday against Detroit. He is one of 10 players in the league averaging a double-double and trails only Shaquille O'Neal among NBA centers in scoring.

Cuttino Mobley is shooting a career-best 42.6 percent from the 3-point line. His 43 3-pointers ranked third in the NBA entering Wednesday night. Houston has become of one of the league's top defensive teams under new coach Jeff Van Gundy. The Rockets are holding their opponents to 84.8 points per game and a league-low 39.1 percent shooting.
Injuries: Eddie Griffin is suspended. Ben Davis (knee surgery), Adrian Griffin (knee surgery) and Mike Wilks (right shoulder contusion) are on the injured list.
