NBA playoffs to air on ABC and ESPN
ABC Sports and ESPN will present live coverage of the 2003 NBA Playoffs, including ABC's exclusive coverage of the NBA Finals. In addition to the NBA Finals, ABC Sports will broadcast up to seven playoff games, including one game of the Eastern Conference Finals. ESPN will carry up to 31 playoff games, including exclusive national telecasts of the Eastern Conference Finals.
ABC Sports' coverage will begin SUNDAY, APRIL 20 at 3 p.m. ET with a Game 1 of the first round. ESPN will begin SATURDAY, APRIL 19 with a tripleheader starting at 12:30 p.m. ET.
The broadcast team of Brad Nessler, Bill Walton and Tom Tolbert will call all of ABC Sports' NBA playoff games. Michele Tafoya and David Aldridge will serve as game reporters. GMC NBA Shootaround is hosted by Mike Tirico. He is joined by Walton and Tolbert, as well as Ahmad Rashad.
