Andrew Bynum - C - Lakers

Andrew Bynum will miss Tuesday's game with a bone bruise in his left knee, which was revealed in an MRI.
He's listed as day-to-day and the good news is this isn't his surgically repaired right knee, but you have to wonder if Bynum's ever going to be fully healthy during his career. In the meantime, this should mean good things for both Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. Feb. 1 - 3:02 p.m. ET

Al Harrington - F - Nuggets

Al Harrington (foot) is not expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Blazers.
Harrington is dealing with plantar fasciitis. He's just a 3-point specialist when healthy anyway as long as Carmelo Anthony is in town. Feb. 1 - 1:29 p.m. ET

Richard Hamilton - G/F - Pistons

Richard Hamilton (flu) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the Mavs.
Perhaps coach John Kuester is finally planning on putting Hamilton back in his rotation. If Hamilton was just going to continue to ride the pine, why not list him as out with the flu? Regardless, it's a bad situation that has been bungled by the Pistons. Even if Hamilton plays, don't expect anything of quality. He hasn't gotten off the bench since Jan. 10. Feb. 1 - 1:00 p.m. ET

That means a big lineup, and less minutes for Chandler. Still, Chandler is clearly among the Knicks best five players. He will eventually get back in that 30-32 minute range.

He'll have to fight off Shaquille O'Neal and Jermaine O'Neal this year, but something around those numbers is within reach.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>No surprise here. Williams still can't even shoot a basketball and is getting treatment around the clock. Millsap finished Monday's win with a painful dislocated finger in addition to other hand woes. And Kirilenko sprained his ankle and left the arena in a walking boot. All are considered day-to-day, and we'd expect all to be game-time decisions. We likely won't know more until after tomorrow's shootaround.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Bass twisted his ankle in third quarter and X-rays came back negative. But extreme swelling is often a sign of severe damage -- maybe even a high-ankle sprain. A prolonged absence would be huge news for Ryan Anderson, who would push for 35 minutes a night while Bass is out.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Williams is working out on a treadmill and doing some shooting. With the All-Star break just over two weeks away and the trading deadline a week after that, it makes sense for Williams to get extended rest. However, the Cavs may want to showcase him for a trade. It's a situation to monitor over the next week.

It is not a sports hernia -- it's a genetic condition that affects less tahn 10 percent of the population. "If I can deal with the pain, I can play through it," Sessions said. He's locked in as the starting point guard until Mo Williams (hip) returns.

The wide range in the timetable stems from the unpredictable nature of muscle injuries, but we'd expect the hard-working Okafor to be back sooner rather than later. In the meantime, Jason Smith is expected to start at center, but will chop up minutes with David Andersen and D.J. Mbenga. Okafor's averages of 11.1 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.8 blocks make him worth hanging on to through this injury.
