I have watched this trend, analyzed, and discussed it with fellow professional gamblers. Bottom line--do not go there expecting to make money betting against the team with the depleted lineup. time and time again the team that is shorthanded plays harder while the other team gets complacent, and the team with "nothing to lose" gets the job done either covering or beating the pointspread. if this is your sole betting angle you can expect to be pennyless.

Playing teams coming off of back to back games is a tough one Borat. you cut it down to a tie midway through the 3rd, and dallas rattled off 20 in a row.
My basic point is that injury games will not get you rich. You will win your fair share, but you will also lose your fair share. that doesn't make you money at the end of the year.

Got screwed when Philly (1st game without Iverson) played @ Detroit several weeks ago. Hmmmmm. I also think Coleman and Glenn Robinson were out. Yet somehow Philly won. Marc Jackson had a big game, it will probably be the best game of the year for him. Doh!
Little did I know, that was the start of a 2-3 week stretch when Detroit played like absolute crap. Then they just won 13 in a row. Go figure.
