NBA FUTURES....THOUGHTS, OPINIONS...Lets Hear It

With a number of Books posting NBA Totals at this time. Does..

Anyone have opinions on the Over/Unders out for the NBA???

Also thoughts on the East and West Conference Championships.

Other than taking the NETS the past couple years at nice odds, usually dont get much value in the NBA.

BULLS, LAKERS, SPURS....Not gonna get much of nothing and havent.

Any suprises this year???

Nobody ever wants to tie up their money for an entire season it seems, but honestly have made more money in futures 4 fold than the regular season wagering. It guarantees you a return down the road, almost like a forced savings. Also sometimes saves you money during the year if you are following a team, not having to wager on them since you already have money tied up into them.
And when is a winning ticket, almost 100% return over 6 months not a good investment.

Obviously you must win to cash the investment.

These are very early looks. Some books have a difference of over 2 or 3 games, so shop and wager accordingly. Good Luck.

Seems as though the colts should have lost, but it is nice to be on the winning side. I guess the reward for the effort & making history was a win.

Not to mention tons of OVER/UNDERS.

That said....
HERE ARE SOME PLAYS. NOT MUCH OF ANY VALUE WITH NBA FUTURES. LAKERS, SPURS, DALLAS, SACRAMENTO TAKING ALL THE MONEY. ONLY TEAM I SEE THAT CAN OFFER A CHALLENGE IS THE NETS.
THEY OWE ME NOTHING AFTER CASHING 40-1 AND 8-1 LAST 2 YEARS FOR THE EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPS.
OBVIOUSLY SOME VALUE ON BOSTON, DETROIT ETC. BUT DONT SEE THAT HAPPENING AND NOT LONG ENOUGH ODDS TO RISK.
SO WITH THAT SAID, POURING MORE MONEY ON OVER/UNDERS AND SOME NBA PROPOSITIONS.
THIS IS WHERE I MAKE MY MONEY GUYS AND ALTHOUGH THE NBA IS THE WEAKEST OF MY STRENGTHS, IT IS HARD TO TOP THE LAST FEW YEARS WITH PATRIOTS, RAVENS, NETS, DEVILS, ANGELS AND THIS YEAR THE MARLINS.

DALLAS -6.5 OVER INDIANA ***STRONG PLAY***
SAN ANTONIO -6.5 OVER INDIANA ***STRONG PLAY***
MEMPHIS +1.5 OVER ATLANTA
CHICAGO + 1/2 OVER SEATTLE

More updates, but something to get started.
Good luck!

* Seattle gonna have a tuff time to play .500 ball in the western conference and they are not that good.

* Indiana gonna have to get rid of Artest for anything to happen and Bird may just do that.
Dont see them winning 50 games and Dallas and San Antonio should get close to 60, even in the tuff West.

* Nets win over 50 unless Kidd goes down.

* Lakers over 60 wins (with Olympic), seems very overvalued. Could win 60-65 this year, but not worth the risk. Too many tuff teams looking to knock them off and with Kobe, who knows.

* The Knicks, well I am a NETS fan so nuff said.

* Memphis is deep, very deep. But do they have enough talent. See West and Hubie Brown teaching and improving this team every month.
Plus Hubie coached at my High School way back in the 60's in New Jersey.

* Atlanta, well they suck.

* Golden State is a smaller play, but hoping for Dunleavy to do something and worth a small play. Plus they won me some serious money last year.

Just a short capsule on why.

NETS at 4-1 EASTERN CONFERENCE
15-1 FOR NBA CHAMPS.

LAKERS AT -110 NOT TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.

BULLS AND GRIZZLIES AT 160-1 FOR A ITSY BITSY LITTLE BIT.

GL MR. SIMS...so suprised nobody here looks at these as much. Find some "easy" money sometimes and gives you something to look at all year long. Sometimes saves you some money from not playing a team as well since you are rooting for or against during the season.

I particularly like the Memphis over.

I also dont see a whole lot of value except with MEM at a very long shot.

I usually wait until around the break before placing futures as a lot of times there is an exaggeration on some of the teams that start fast only to fade down the stretch as the other teams adapt to their style.

Those were some really nice futures you have cashed.
