Scraping along at 8-8-0, +1.52 units.

Lines are from MegaSB

Atlanta (+2) +102, 1 unit to win 1.02 units

Atlanta at home against a less-than-inspiring Knicks ... I'm willing to give up the half-point in exchange for the chance of a push or plus money, for a game that I believe that Atlanta will win outright by probably 4-6 points.

Houston [1H] +138, 1 unit to win 1.38 units

Indy has lost the fist half in half of its ten most recent wins, and cut it within a couple of points in two. Houston has a tendency to come out strong then fade against better teams, as it did recently against Memphis. A 50-50 bet with a 69-50 payoff.

Detroit (+5.5) +101 2.25/2.27

Minnesota is outstanding as it seems to always be this time of year (impervious to bad weather due to being from fvcking Minnesota maybe) but the numbers on this game are imho being effected somewhat by Detroit's fluke decision to not show up for the game against Indiana Tuesday. It won't happen again, certainly not twice in a row. At +192 I was actually tempted to take the ML on this game, but am going for the more conservative play due to having too much money on the board and my recent record.

GLTA today.

The Target Center will not be into it tonight. Hopefully that will affect Garnett and the boys and Detroit at least covers. Like the pick and will play a unit on it.

Good call on the Houston first half. Hope your right about Houston fading away in the second.

Thanks Occam. Other two aren't looking so hot -- going to be a close call for either to cash.

As far as Houston fading away, I think that what is more likely is that Indy will turn it up; look at the box scores on their last month ... in ten wins, they've lost the first half in five of them and won the fist half by four points or less in two.

Nail-biter in Atlanta results in a push, but Detroit keeps it tight up to the end, giving me a nice 2-1 day and bringing my record up to 10-8-1, +3.91 units.

Haven't seen so many close calls in a while.
