Is the Army/Navy game a letdown spot for navy since they are playing a bowl game soon. I'm sure it will impact the game tommorrow a lot. Army takes the lead 1st half and loses by 3-10? 15 is a lot though. Gonna sweat my under play like I did last year. bol RXers

WHAAAAT in the world are you talking about?

There is no letdown in the Army/Navy game, regardless of records or
bowl situation.:ohno:

Im sure Navy's bowl slot WONT impact the game tomorrow.
(not saying they will cover or not)

Motivation for NAVY will not be a negative factor.

IF and that is a big IF there is any motivational edge it goes to San Diego st in the
bowl because the A/N game is WAYYYYYYYY bigger for Navy than a bowl game.

The motivation will be there for Navy, but this is a dish game. In other words Navy is playing a team with revenge and it will be their bowl game. But at the same time Navy has bigger fish to fry in a little over a week when they play SDST in what should attract a bigger than normal Navy crowd. So you can look at this game two ways. Navy absolutely blows Army out from the beginning with no chance of a backdoor cover, or once they have the game in hand and start pulling a few starters for next week, it opens up the possibility of an Army cover. One thing I do know is the line gets bigger every year between these two rivals. And it's getting to the point to where it's close to regressing back towards the mean.

I agree with MotorMouth.....No Letdown in the Army/Navy game..LOL

Last season Navy beat Army 34-7 and covered the -13.5 then 7 days later they beat Middle Tenn st in their bowl game 24-6 and covered the -7 line.

Good luck!

You guys who think that Navy's Bowl game is more important than the Army game have obviously never been to an Army-Navy game. The Bowl game is basically meaningless to Navy compared to the Army game. I suggest that everyone here who thinks they have been to big rivalry games go to an Army-Navy game. I know all about rivalries, being a USC grad, and I can tell you that the Army-Navy game is like no other game played during the season.

I never said it wasn't a bigger game. But it doesn't quite take on the urgency of some past games because the Commander and Chief trophy is not in play. It doesn't mean Navy can't still kick their asses, like they do half the time. But like I said, they have less and less room for error every season with this spread getting bigger and bigger. And Navy has been a little more reckless with the ball this season, which could also be a factor. I'm also betting that Army scores more points this time around than they did last year. I lean the over if the weather is decent.
