The Navy Midshipmen are currently in the midst of one of the best runs in school history. For the ninth time in the last eleven seasons, the Middies took home the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy. They advanced to their 10th bowl in the last 11 years during 2013 finishing with a 9-4 record (9-3 ATS). Most of the talent returns to Annapolis this year with 15 regulars back. With a favorable schedule, look for Navy to extend their good run.

Ohio State (Baltimore).....@Temple.....@Texas State.....Rutgers.....Western Kentucky.....@Air Force.....VMI.....San Jose State.....Notre Dame (Landover).....Georgia Southern.....@South Alabama.....Army (Baltimore)

Navy is on a 21-2 straight-up run versus fellow military foes including 10-1 against the spread playing Air Force and 12-5 ATS against Army.

Might be another money maker this season for Navy............welcome your thoughts.

navy has one of the biggest H/A differentials you'll find in D1 but playing them as a true road dog is $$

last 6 years the over is just 34% at home or neutral, 15-29 o/u including 0-8 o/u as a neutral favorite (basically a bunch of games vs Army)

since late Sept 2008 posting solid 20-10 ATS in true away game including 16-4 as away dog...covering by more than 9 ppg.

In 2012 Navy opened up against Notre Dame and lost 10-50. This year they open up against Ohio St. In 2009 Navy lost to Ohio St (who opened the preseason at #6) by the score of 27-31. Ohio St has plenty of time to get ready for their unusual attack and the LB's to help bottle it up. Could be an interesting game to watch and a good guage on both teams to boot.

What I really like about Navy is those kids play discipline football. Last year they led the nation in fewest penalties and penalty yards per game. They were also first with the fewest turnovers...just 10.

Teams that finished the previous season with a 9-3 ATS mark have gone 68-48 ATS the past 4 seasons. (For what its worth?)

RT, you are right about Navy being a good road team. Flipside as a home favorite the past four years...just 5-9 ATS.

Navy players love it when they go on the road. They don't have the strict Naval Academy rules to follow when they are on the road. So they are probably a little more relaxed and loose going into these games. At least that's what I've heard from some ex-Navy men.. And it helps that they are usually the dogs or very short favorites in their road games.

even better stat is when they're either a TD or less fav or 2TD+ fav ...last 9 years below = 5-16-1 ATS and if you take the dog in teasers almost never lose (on the rare occasion they cover it's not by much)

btw if people have queries they'd like me to run just ask....

be reasonable though. don't ask me to run how georgia tech has fared ATS off a bye week in a non-saturday game where they outrushed previous opponent by 300 yards and it's sandwiched between two conference games.

yes i can run that but coming up with 6 situations won't help anyone.

i think sdf knows how to do these as well so between the two of us we can probably handle most requests.

I have yelled to the highest mountain often...the RX CFB forum is the best on the net. Made this statement at SBR a few days ago and was placed on on post review. No matter... Ole timers who love college football and many others will fade away come football season and that's sad. Most are like me...let the high school shit begin....we retards will go away and just try to make a dollar or two.

Most of the young guys don't know what a resource guys like Russ and RollTide and GoSooners and Conan and a few others are here at this fine site.

They will surrender to the LOUD, BOASTFUL, HEY LOOK AT ME SHITHEADS and lose their asses. NUTS!
