NASCAR- The new point system good bad?

What about the brand new RULES?

It may not be as fair and the driver who performed most consistently may not win, but it certainly should be more climatic!

I am not judging yet, but you can bet your azz that there's a good chance that the points leader at the new start mark will be upset if he doesn't close the deal.

As for the fans and I that is really what it should be about, I think a good deal.

wait and see here one thing I noticed last year was down the stretch Kenseth was playing it to safe for me,I still say they should award more points for a win

i think im going to like it MORE. there should be something for winning the most races, and the playoff format sounds exciting.

There will more than likely be modifications the first few years...

Modification and Nascar go hand and hand anyway, and as with any modification in this sport half the teams will complain eventually


I just wish I had the same interest that I did before 3 left us....I took this worse than when the Colts left.

most sports adjust their rules every year. look at the nfl.


as far as #3 goes, i will still never understand how he died in that accident. there are far worse wrecks in nascar all the time and people walk away from them. ive always wondered if maybe he had a heart attack BEFORE the crash or something like that.

I dont really like the idea so much, but we'll see. I believe they made this more complicated than had to be. Simply award 30-50 bonus points to the winner of a race, and this would keep it interesting in the latter part of the year, giving some drivers that are behind by many points incentive to continue to try and win races in order to get back into the points championship......

RPM......I just think what I said about awarding the winner of a race close 30-50 points (would take some testing first) would be a much better idea. IT never made since to me that the winner of the race just gets a few lousy points more than 2nd , 3rd......etc. place. Just makes no since at all, you should be awarded much more so for actually winning the race. Lets take last year for example, Matt Kenseth leads the points race by a bundle, but Ryan Newman keeps winning races, to no avail because Kenseth keeps finishing high also. Newman should be awarded for putting his Azz on the line to win, and awarded bonus points, while Kenseth plays it conservatively. It would make it so much more exciting in my opinion. It just simply gives others that are behind in points a bit some hope......and incentive to continue to go all out to win being the bonus points I mentioned could give them a big jump to get back in it. It would just keep things much more interesting.....

I AGREE winning races should count for a lot more hache, but i also like the playoff format.
