Heartman- See my most recent reply in the contest thread.

The GENERAL and I have spent a CONSIDERABLE amount of time debating this, JUST FOR THE WEEKLY.

Everyone should FULLY understand the rule for future weeks now............POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE WEEKLY FOR PENALTY...............EVEN IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH NASCAR...........That will be the rule for this contest.

Since this rule was not 100% understood last week, I voted that you should recieve the money because by nascar rules, the points still stand for the race.

HOWEVER, in future weeks, it WILL effect the weekly points.

The points were deducted for his actions at Bristol. But, they were deducted from his OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP DRIVER POINTS.

im in this contest not doing much.

The points as they occured on race day are what should count. Period. If NASCAR the next day or 5 days later or 5 weeks later docks some points that has nothing to do with our contest or how the race finished.

ITs like if the NCAA 3 years later puts you on probation for basketball violations and takes away your 24 wins from 1999, yea they are not part of the offical record anymore but everybody knows you won 24 games in 1999 and that is all that counts.

I never heard such a bunch of woose ass crybaby Nancy's in my whole freakin life.

NO ONE WON. Roll it into next week.

Just kidding.
Deduct the points from the race and that means Geneeral wins.
Now if HE wants to offer out of the goodness of his heart to do anything else, fine, otherwise grow such freakin balls and move on.

NASCAR Nextel Cup Contest

All Nextel Cup drivers will be valued from $2.4 million tapered down to $300,000 based upon last years point standings. The Champion, Matt Kennseth, will be the highest priced driver. Select 8 drivers staying under a $10,000,000 salary cap. Each player will be allowed 3 trades per half of the season. If a team folds, you will be given a free trade, but must remain under the $10,000,000 cap. If a new driver takes over temporarily then you will have the option of a free trade or you may keep that driver Even if over $10,000,000 until it becomes a permanent partnership with the team. Once announced permanent, you must use a free trade if over the $10,000,000 cap. Each of your 8 drivers will be scored exactly the way they are scored by NASCAR after the race. If NASCAR deducts penalty points for one of your drivers, then you will lose those points as well. The season will be for 36 races. Each week there will be a winner(s). There will be year end winners. Winners are determined by the compilation of points by your 8 drivers after each race.

Just re-read the contest rules. It says; "Each of your 8 drivers will be scored exactly the way they are scored by Nascar, after the race." Nascar scored 996 points for E.JR. at BRISTOL. They deducted 25 points from his overall championship driver points. I completely disagree with you mvbski. You can deduct 25 points from my overall score, like nascar did, But I want my 8 drivers scored exactly the way they are scored by nascar. Thats what the rule says.
