So my buddy just had his first son. My friend graduated from Purdue and is a huge drew brees fan. So he named his son drew after him. Anyone else have a child, relativor yourself named after a specific athlete?

Didn't Bob Costas name his son after Kirby Puckett. Then Kirby (God rest his soul) had to grab on some wimmins' breasteses in the restaurant restroom and made him regret that decision.

Costas once jokingly promised Minnesota Twins center fielder Kirby Puckett that if he was batting over .350 by the time his child was born he would name the baby Kirby. Kirby was hitting better than .350, but Bob's son was not given a first (or second) name of Kirby. His son was given the name of Keith Michael Kirby Costas.

Ayuh...Had big plans to name my next kid, Ryan Leaf Heath, but fortunately the SheBar put the nix on any plans for baby making.

She will only go through the motions....if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Would never name a kid after an athlete but definitely an animal. My last pet was named Rocky Balboa... well he's kind of an athlete.

Rusty Kuntz Thompson does have a ring to it though.
