name 1 person who'll get such a star-studded concert being broadcasted live in every freakin channel and all over the world after he/she dies.

I can't think of one. Some have said maybe if Obama dies in untimely manner. I say maybe, but it won't be something like this that MJ's getting. You realize what a universal mega star MJ really was.

btw does anyone know if california doesn't get a dime out of this whole thing? I know they're asking people for donations to cover the costs for this but I think the media networks should pay for this. I mean it's on every freakin channel, everyone's watching it and they're probably selling the live feeds to stations all over the world so i think it's only right that they should help california pay for this

yea any president would of course get media coverage for the memorial but that'll be just in the states. It won't be broadcasted live universally like this.

kinda weird seeing his kids up front sitting by their grandma. I don't think they even have the slightest clue that their dad was such a superstar.

This is ridiculous. Makes a mockery of the whole process.

His kids are probably terrified at what they see going on around them.

Elton's touching tribute to MJ was one for the ages...

when Elton sang "Don't let your Son go down on me". :):)

Elton John would get something similar. Not a big fan, but he's up there in the mega-star category when it comes to who would show up to a memorial etc.

None of these would get the attention that Michael Jackson did.

Not even close.

Maybe Springsteen.
Libs love him, and he does give a lot of money to charity.

The only guy close is Paul McCartney .

He would get a huge concert in England.

Nothing will ever top this. Not in the next 200 years .
