Playing N Ill whatever the line is around gametime when I call the local.
Think the wrong side is favored here and would probably line it N Ill -4.5 at least. Well aware of the pseudo homefield that La Tech will hold in this game. Their offense has been playing a bit better with the Frosh QB and they do have some matchup advantages on N Ill. Their pass D stinks but N Ill can't throw the ball a ton. Most people will see this as an advantage for La Tech but I don't really see it like that..I think the poor pass d will actually allow N Ill to get it going through the air a bit and open up their running game even more with a more balanced attack. La Tech offensively doesn't throw it too well and I think N Ill will be able slow down the running game a bit. True they have given up a ton of rushing yards the past four weeks but La Tech's offensive numbers are inflated due to playing some truly awful defenses and I think N Ill will slow them down a bit. Probably the most alarming part of the game will be that La Tech has a very strong punt return game and wins the field position battle whereas N Ill really struggles with this...but I'm of the opinion that this will not be a game determined by field position and just think N Ill is better on both sides of the ball and takes it to an overrated, bad La Tech team.
Good luck.
