I have an issue and need some input from the members here.
I was referred to this book due to the fact that they were "good", they had a huge array of tracks and they had "no limits" for exotic wagering. I put $100 in there last night just to test the water and make 4 or 5 bets. As fate would have it, their system would not accept any of my bets from the harness tracks and I missed BIG on a few races! (Still really pissed off about it)
So I made a "test" bet on a Thoroughbred track and won a small "Show" bet. Even today, this bet has not been graded or paid!
Last night I phoned their "Support" line and all I get is voicemail. I leave messages to no avail. I sent e-mails and nothing in return.
What would you suggest? What do you know about these guys? I am thinking that in spite of them having a good site, they might be a scam....???!!!

regards,
sds

o.k. sds, good news and bad news, the good is that they paid me on wednesday without any trouble, the bad news is i also have pending winning bets from wednesday night that are not graded,no replys by e mail and the same answering machine that you are getting

Sds, Not a great situation and if what Michael777 is saying is true then it could get worse. I thought I saw something where this site is affiliated with another site, I will see what I can dig up but if anyone knows and could post it I am sure these guys would appreciate it.

Guys, I just tried calling and did get through to a live person, try 1-866-684-4188 and find out what the problem is, if you don't like the response you get then a good idea would be to ask for a withdrawal.

Very much appreciated guys. I have very little money in there as it was my "trial deposit" to see what they are like. I'll phone that number and see what story I get. But you are correct - it does not appear real positive.

I can assure you that this book is not a scam. Customer service hours are 11:30am est until 8:00pm est. However this is temp. The site plans on having extended hours very soon.

I am sure the grading error will be rectified. This racebook is definetly not a scam!

Raisencain.

Asked around? Who could you have asked....seeing the princples behind the book are very very strong.

Again, another poster with an agenda.

Spoke to Clint at that number - thanks.
As it goes, they are a NEW book. Very new. Their customer support is based here in Canada and only operational during business hours right now but will be expanding. Apparently there are still a few wrinkles to iron out and this is one of them. The error messages I was receiving last night were due to them not receiving odds from Woodbine. Fair enough.....but it cost me big!
So I suggested that Clint come here and introduce his biz and post his case to all since there were a few of us asking the same things.
cheers

Not sure why you would be through with a racebook that paid you when you asked? I am sure your experience there (besides the grading problem, which will be fixed ASAP) was not bad. Bet the races you wanted, got paid when you asked to get paid.

Heck, if every book was ran that way, there would never be any complaints about any books..lol

no problem - I think everyone deserves a fair shake and to start rumours would be unfair. He gave me his explanation and it satisfied my questions. IF this happens again, then I'll be on the phone asking about it naturally. He said he'd grade my other bet right away and grading is normally within 5 or 10 mins of the end of a race at most.

The only other thing I mentioned - and since SPonge sems to be affiliated with them - was that when I made a bet, it took almost 5 minutes and several rejections for it to be accepted!!! That damn egg timer would spin forever (I have a good comp and a cable connection if you wondered) I made a couple of meaningless show bets to see what was going on and I started one at 5 MTP and got it accepted just as the last horse was getting in the gate!! They said they would look into this as it was very abnormal

sponge,
no agenda what so ever....it is just my opinion. i was very interested in them, but after hearing a few things from some people who know what they are talking about and whom i repsect, i did not feel very comfortable with them. as i said before, it is just my opinion.

how about you sponge, what is your agenda?

Raisin.....You asked no one anything about this site. There isn't anyone whom knows anything about this site (except those involved) But since we are being honest....lets see who you asked..seeing that I am honest with you.

My agenda....I do most of the marketing for the princapals that own the site and many others.

No agenda here ... just not much info available on this place other than that provided from the folks with admitted marketing agendas.

On the surface, they look to be on the up and up, registered on the Isle of Man to:
ICV Holdings Limited
Talbot House
16 Athol Street
Douglas, IM1 1JA
IM

Do not confuse myhorseracing.com with
my-horseracing.com which appears to be hiding behind some funny, but false, registration info:
Grand Slam Co.
199 Small Wok Way
Chopsticks Town, AL 00000

sponge,
i am not looking to bust your balls. but i did ask around and did not like what i heard. PERIOD. where is my agenda? why would i say something if i didn't believe it?

i am not going to say who i asked and who said what and so fourth, because that is none of your business. i simply commented on a subject that i had some info on. i guess you are not suppose to do this anymore.

i am not the gospel and people can make up their own minds and have their own opinions.

but you said i had an agenda, that is not true.....looks to me like you do.

I am dealing with the first one. Apparently customer service dept is based in Vancouver Canada. My ONLY real issue right now is that someone in a past thread which I cannot locate directed me to this horse site and held them up as the best....this was WEEKS AGO! It sounds now like they are relatively new so I am a LITTLE bitter that I was fed a half truth. . My issue with them is that after spending 3 hours handicapping my races last night , I was not able to bet them! And then the subsequent painful discovery while watching these races that I had some real good payouts on my choices ! Who gets the short end ?? Player. I missed out on several hundred dollars in profit last night while sitting a staring at my screen and trying to phone for help!
Maybe this is what I am tiring of with all these books. Excuse after excuse as to why something has not happened ,or why a bet was taken mistakenly etc etc.......It seems like I have NO problem FUNDING an account, but then I have to HOPE that my bet is "accepted" after several attempts with some books. Then I have to HOPE that the time I bet will actually be seen as "before post" (had one of those winners suddenly become "PP" even though I WATCHED that race go off after I bet!). It just seems like I am hesitating at every move wondering what unknown event will follow. Will my bet stand? Will I get credited without having to call? Will I get my money out without fanfare or any surprise rules? I am wondering if this is worth the trouble.....maybe just put on my shoes and walk to the track!
