My biggest wet dream would be for Bill to run again and win another 2 terms. Can anyone more familiar with the American political system than myself comment on the legality of Clinton serving as president again after sitting out a couple of terms?

Angus, the short answer is NO (thank God).

Read the 22nd Amendment:

Amendment XXII

Section. 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President, when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Sec. 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress.

Angus I don't know do you?
I can tell you what, there is probably nobody more politically savy with the same amount of intelligance than B.C.But his charecter and integrity are closer to Ted Bundy than Thomas Jefferson...He is really dissapointing because he is such a waste of talent becuase of his perverted political motives....I know people with crimminal records that I would have no problem taking a bet from...Bill Clinton...ahh show me the money.

he is savvy, that's for sure....

hypothetical: B. Clinton vs. G.W. Bush in 2004 - who would win?

I think Clinton would win with 55-57% of the popular vote (just a guess)

I lean that way also....although Bushes people are no dummies either.

Clinton plays the victim card better than anyone. But they are better than anyone at politics of personal destruction.

Clinton back, wow. I wish.
A smart man who loves women would get my vote anytime.

In contrast to a not-quite-so-smart man who loves himself and thinks hes on a mission from God.

"I think Clinton would win with 55-57% of the popular vote (just a guess)"

I would seriously doubt that given Clinton received only 43% in 1992 and 49% in 1996 (both times against weaker candidates than GW Bush). Yes both 92 and 96 were thre-way races with Ross Perot as a third party candidate, but since Perot endorsed Bush in 2000 and will likely do so again in 2004, I think Bush would defeat Clinton, and would dfeat him easily if a Green candidate like Nader were to run again as well.

Ross Perot is still alive? Seriously if he endorsed Bush that might be a serious blow t Bush's re-election campaign. It would also show how hollow the once deficit-hawk Perot is. This Admin. has all but said deficits don't matter. On a list of 1 to 10 it's priorty number 11. Bush is not a tx-and-spender, he's a reduce tax...and spender.
