Sparty, I'm 5 yrs older, & I too am alone except for my kids, who have their own lives to live. When you've lived the nomadic life that I have (Mil Svc), and are this old, all your friends have passed or are far away. The loss for you especially @ this time of yr canot be measured. Thank you all, it is a very difficult time for me, the holidays & all & no family, just moved back into the residence, as it had to be restored from the fire & smoke damage. I have been in a local Hampton inn since june/2011, that gets very old after a while, believe me. Some probably think i am sick or something as i visit & talk with janet one time a week, i will never let go or get over it, just trying to get through it. Please love your loved ones while you can, as life is too short. God Bless & thanks again to all.

Nothing wrong with talking with her. For all we know she is there listening.

The mind has a wonderful way of healing itself and this is one of them.
