So about a week ago, my long-suffering Spousal Unit - the vaunted SheBar - replies to a spam email ad about "Buying property in Costa Rica!"

First lady sounds pretty old and nice and is explaining about this great gated community. She asks why we interested and D tells her "my husband has friends down there and we are interested in spending more time there".

So the lady gives her the whole rap about how they will fly us both down and put us up for a few days in a nice hotel and show us the properties. Then she asks if we would qualify for the needed $25,000 down payment. To which D replies, "I could likely make that happen if we really liked what we saw".

So then the lady passes her to The Closer who asks D, "So you would be ready to put up $25,000 in advance (of your trip) into an interest bearing account that would be fully refundable if you chose not to buy?"

Which makes D burst out laughing. She asks him, "Do you really truly get some people who say Yes to that proposal?"

And the guy says, "Have a nice day" and hangs up.

I have no idea who he is, I just like busting his balls 'cause he's stupid enough to get all worked up over stuff said by people he doesn't even know. Just go back and read some of his posts, absolutely pathetic. I'm sure he's a nice dumb guy, he just tries too hard to make internet friends and look cool. And his combacks are so lame, but I must admit this was funny... Good job PT.

There are some "call centers" here that dedicate to scam people from canada, a guy I know used to make a ton of cash out of that, sometimes he ended up with more than $4 K per week! No joke!

Thats just another example of how bad they are at scamming people down here. They suck at it. They really do.

This has been going on for a long time now. I get it in my Yahoo mail every week.

or they just have no streat smarts at all...

My SheBar was born and raised for 15 years on the streets of that Canarsie - Brooklyn NYC

And she's Jewish to boot, so she knows most all the $$ hustles once she gets face 2 face with 'em.

Now if I can just get it through her thick dome that 80% of her email is scam-based, she'll save a lot of future hassle.
