The lines are not out yet, but I do have the last two of my "Game of the Year" picks going on Staurday. I have N.C. State +20 @ North Carolina and Baylor -6.5 vs Texas Tech. More to follow.

How many games can be "Game of the Year"?

Seems like a singular situation. Or.... complete bullshit!

I can see how those would be games of the years at lines two touchdowns off the actual lines, lol.

I had not even checked the prices.

Just pointing out the joke of the multiple GOYs.

In the 2 games you posted above, you appear to have reversed the numbers. Baylor-TT is over 20 points thereabout and NC-NC St. is about a TD.

I think yall are misreading the thread. He's talking about the "Game of the Year" odds released over the summer (there was a big thread here in the off season) these are the last 2 of those bets he made.

TY is correct. For those of you who really know nothing about Football Wagering, but like to pretend that you do, every June, normally on the 2nd Friday of the month, the Golden Nugget releases it's "College Games of the Year" lines. Normally there are between 100 and 130 games that they will release. This is the time to get your tails to Vegas and get down on some very good odds, IF you have the ability to develop a line before you get there. Please. I do not want to hear about the cost of getting there. If you guys wager as much as you claim to, this trip should cost you nothing in the long run. Now some lines are just obvious. They are based on how the linesmakers see each team performing over the year. I am currently 8-3 on these games over the season. I have also successfull middled 1 game, that being Florida State @ Miami. I got Miami +14 as a GOY, then took Florida State -2 when the lines for the game came out the week of the game. I also middled another game, but just got a push out of it and lost some vig. So I took a total of 15 games out of the 100 that were offered. This is how the successful gamblers make their money.

Now my guess is that a lot of you "computer geniuses" have never heard of the "Games of the Year", but in the Pro's, you can get a line on EVERY game of the season except week 17 games. They never post week 17 games. Now I am genuinely surprised at some people in here not knowing what a "GOY" is. Cruncher, you seem to be my biggest advisary in here, and certainly have one of the biggest mouths. For a guy who is suppose to know everything, are you telling me that you have never heard of these games? Conan, I am a bit suprised that you did not know about this. Perhaps you guys should do some research before questioning someone who probably has forgotten more about gaming than you ever know. Just sayin...

The GOY lines were about as far off this year as I've ever seen them. I played a few of these same Big 12 lines before the season. Believe it or not I got TCU +14 against OU and Baylor +11 vs OU.

Hey Big. Since you know everything......

Can you please tell us what the limit is on these games? Has to be peanuts due to the uncertainty of who is even playing at that point of the season. And.... The Nugget is not a big-time operation anyway!

You have to know most everything..... preaching to us about cost of travel (you don't even know where people are coming in from... for God's sake)
And, as I have already said...... the size of plays allowed on these lines has to be pretty small.

If you are a major player.... then more power to you. But I suspect these plays are 1-2 dollars at the most?

You're right, I don't know much about those GOY, but I do know what they are and thought you might be referring to them. I just like to talk a little shit for fun, sometimes. Sorry.

Good job on a great record on those, then, and you're sitting super pretty on those two lines.

The trade off on those wagers you make before the season is that your money is tied up for a long time. If you have a big enough bankroll to get down on those and still make your regular season plays, that is nice. I'll be modelling lines for the entire schedule next year, so I'll be interested to see what the Nugs GOY lines are, for sure.

$1000.00. You can wager up to 5 games at once, and then you go to the back of the line. Obviously there are many ways around that. You will see a lot of guys working in tandem.

Back to the business at hand. I am taling Illinois +9 at Northwestern. Northwestern lost their starting QB in their last game for the season. I think the Illini can keep it close. The winner goes Bowling.

Adding Mississippi State -1 at Ole Miss. Ole Miss always tails off late in the season and this year is no exception. State is playing for a possible playoff spot. State pulls away in the 2nd half.

Hey Big. Sorry, I know I am sort of an old crotchety ass on here sometimes. This is meant to be constructive.

I hope you win big on your play...... But that Ms State -1 line has to be one of the real head scratchers I have EVER seen. Makes me wonder?

Best wishes!
