I had the badgers saturday night, small on ml, big on the 5. Not shocked to see them beat uk. They re a great team. I also watched them celebrate, and read their quotes. They weren t satisfied, and certainly not shocked to have beaten kentucky. They said basically, kentucky was just a team we had to beat in order to move on. Theres no let down tonight.
Winslow and Dekker are a wash, if Dukes lucky. Impressed with both this kids skill and heart. Best match up of the tourney and I kinda expect them to cancel one another. That being said, dekker more experienced and i expect winslow to have an off night before sam does.
Where I expect the advantage tonight is frank and okafor. I think frank can cover okafor in the paint . He has the length and the iq and the experience. My question for duke fans is how does okafor cover frank the tank? Duke plays mostly man to man, and they have been lights out defensively in this tourney. Suffocating, picking up at half court. Tonight, they re going to have to play at least some zone. Okafor cant stay with frank on the outside. Hell, I dont think Okafor could stay with me on the outside. He is too slow and he, to me, always looks winded. Anyone on the wisconsin 5 can blow past him. He is a liability on defense.
Dukes had the easier road to get here, wisconsin is tried and true. They have the experience and spacing to give duke problems. I think frank ( or whomever okafor is watching ) is going to have a big night and I also think jackson coming off the bench will play well.
