Yep, you and few others DID mention South Carolina, and I laughed at that.....and I still do. I lived in Charleston for ten years, and loved it.....but I would rather stick a fork in my eye than live in a crappy city like Columbia. I still can't understand why in the world Steve Spurrier mad that decision.

Can you say Augusta National membership? Lees you forget Hootie played for SC in the 50s, lou got his membership, Steve will get his....

Nothing wrong with Lake Murray living....

Spurier's a "Southern" Boy and Cola's a "Southern" town... A match made in Heaven.....

LOL.....that is all you can come up with?

It is completely laughable to include Augusta as an asset to living in Columbia. Hell, while you're in the stretching mood, why not include Kiawa Island as well, or how about Hilton Head or even Charlotte?

It doesn't really matter, because he's apparently decided to make this leap and we'll just have to see if he can succeed for the Gamecaocks.

Seriously Pete, do you not understand the prestige of a Augusta National membership for a serious golfer??? Certainly not the sole reason for him taking the job but it's a factor, so said my sourses when I called it when your sources said FLorida 90% lock...

On a lighter note, do you have any more insde info at 90% cuase your inside info's not very good... LOL...

Seriously, take care and good luck...

Okay, two more points, and I'll be finished with this ridiculous discussion.

First, like it or not, Spurrier WAS going to Florida. He decided against it once he learned that he was going to be subjected to a formal interview.

Second, I agree that an Augusta membership is prestigious.....but couldn't he have gotten that membership regardless of his address?

Forget it, I would rather just watch the games instead.

Good luck today.

BTW, he was never going back to Florida, not in a Million years nor for $6 million bucks... LOL

Go Cocks!
