Sit that little mf'r down with a couple bottles of grape or orange sisco then send him off to one of his "little" parties.

Legal drinking age in the US is absolutely ridiculous. Who's idea was it?

he's a sophomore in high school, it was a high school "keger" party, innocent fun, he said he had 3 beers, wasnt drunk just giddy from having his first brew with girls. he's shy it was good for him.

Jack Im I a bad parent??????

Not at all Teddy. He's young and he has a bunch of extra brain cells he doesn't need. Plus you don't wanna be that loser in school that doesn't drink.

Ahhhh...those are the days of innocence. Here's to your son. :toast:

Just be careful publicly acknowledging that you know when he's drunk (I don't mean on the Rx, but perhaps mentioning it to other parents). Here in NY, they have gotten crazy, arresting parents that have either facilitated the drinking or knew there was drinking going on at a party of minors. Just another sign of the coddling parent police state here in the U.S.

It is obviously going to happen and IMO there's nothing wrong with this right of passage. Drinking and driving is a whole different story.

Artie as far as drinking and driving he knows better, he knows he can always call me anytime from anywhere and they will be picked up, no question asked.

That's great. Sounds like you're a good dad. Plan on doing the same with my daughter one day, no questions asked. Perhaps talk WITH her the next day to learn more, but will promise her that there will be no ramifications.

As I look back on my own life, it pretty much all comes down to your friends between the start of junior high and the end of college. Well, not to mention the impact your parents have on you in your formative years, but enough of the Freudian sh!t.
