Well looks like the Chosen One chose his shittiest line-up. Dumping this one to prepare for a Eupora League game over a week away is pathetic. Lets hope for a big 2nd half in both of these. Not looking good.....

Liverpool -1 -130 ($130 ---> $100) - Finally, they will need to play Origi. This guy is better than anything else they got up there and they refuse to play him. He gets 2 today. With Matip & Lovren back at full strength, I like their chance to neutralize the the Bournemouth attack. Llana and Henderson will be missed, Im just not sure this is the match it happens.

West Ham +600 ($100 ---> $600) - Its Arsenal, they could love to me and ten hobos on any given day. West Ham gets Antonio back and that makes them lethal in the air. West Ham has 15 goals off set pieces, and that is 2nd in the league. Arsenal is most likely down to their 3rd goal today. Shit, at 6:1, I see no possible way not to plays this one.

5 plays today, I don't like that at all. However, I had to take a shot on a couple of the large dogs today because there is too much value in my eyes.

Wow, that didnt go my way. $600 swing in a matter of minutes. Lost a Liverpool push in the last couple minutes too. Im sure I have won some in the past that I didnt deserve though. Take this one on the chin and will keep going.

1-4 today (-$330)

EPL 5-7-0 (-$165)
MLS 1-2-0 (-$130)

Always got to remember that there are just as many "good wins" as "bad beats" if you stay disciplined and don't chase. Obviously, the bad beats leave a moe lasting impression. I took Liverpool for the 1st half only because they outscore opponents 17-6 at home in the first half. I neglected to take into account that they seem to play down to their competition this year.

Im heading up north for a wedding for the weekend, so I need to do this quickly. I apologize about the short post, I promise to have the write-ups back next week. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

EPL

Liverpool -.5 -110 ($220 ---> $200) - Choutino, Llana, Henderson, Mane. The list goes on an on. Its almost comical at this point. Then, Liverpool shits the bed late against Bournemouth to leave with simply a point. What appears to be a terrible spot to back this team is actually not nearly as bad as it appears. First, Origi is playing. Thank God this man is on the field. He would be scoring 20 goals a year with some other teams. The backside of the defense is also getting healthy and they are big enough to hold their own against the bruises that Stoke will send at them. Everyone is jumping off the Liverpool train, I think it is the perfect time to jump on.

West Brom +200 ($100 ---> $200) - West Brom has tossed out some stinkers, but their midfield was beat to shit. Now, they are back at full strength against a Southampton team that will most not likely have Gabbadini again. I think the losses to Everton and Watford were more of a fluke than anything else. I expect West Brom to come back from in this one.

Manchester United -1.5 EVEN ($100 ---> $100) - Yes, Europa League next week is pretty much the only chance that Manchester United has to get into the UCL next year, but that doesn't mean this game isnt important. First, its a huge bonus that they get out of the pressure at Old Trafford. Its become suffocating. 2nd, Manchester United need to see the ball go in the net. If they are going to run out the Europa League, they will need to score goals. Sunderland is exactly the right team to get right against here. With nothing to lose, Sunderland isnt going to be afraid to take some chances. Exactly what Manchester needs right now.

Hull City TTO.5 EVEN ($100 ---> $100) - I don't think they will win, but Hull has been scoring lately with Silva's new attack. I have ZERO problems winning this bet in the 70th minute while City is victory lapping themselves around Etihad with a 3-0 win already in hand.

Total Soccer Record: 9-10 (+$5)

Im going to combine my records from all leagues into one here. The MLS is going to drag down my EPL numbers, but thats fine. Otherwise, I would have like 10 listed records by the end of the year. With Europa League and Champions League coming up this week, I am going to really focus my efforts on those for the next couple days. While I feel very in tune with the Premier League, I cannot say my knowledge of some of these other leagues is exactly the best. However, I do have some resources that I have used over the last couple years in order to find some success with those as well. More on that later, but its part of the full disclosure that I want to make sure I am always giving.

In regards to todays game of Arsenal and Crystal Palace. Crystal Palace is just dead with injuries at the moment. I think they will be without 9 of their first-team players. HOWEVER, the two they have are the most important two if they are going to try and steal some points in typical Big Sam style. No doubt in my mind, Sam understands that he has three points on regulation line and he is going to do everything he can to get one point today, if nothing else. Their schedule is rough the rest of the way, and stealing one would be a huge boost. My guess is that Sam is going to play 9 men behind the ball and just hope that Benteke and Zaha can hit a homerun on a counter at some point.

Arsenal is desperate to get their 3 points to try and win a spot in next years Champions League, but they have been giving up some soft goals when on the road. People are forgetting that a very offensively challenge West Brom put up three on these guys last time they went out away from their home stadium. I am going to pass on this one, but I do think there is some value on the draw at over 3:1 or even the Under. If you can swallow laying -140 on this one, IArsenal should have enough to win the game. I just don't see enough value in this bipolar team to at this point. Wenger Out isnt happening because he has his team playing to their potential and I do know that Big Sam is the kind of guy to have his team poised for a large Monday night effort.

I cannot wait to get into these Europa League matches for Tuesday and Wednesday. Have a grey start to the week!

Well, looks like Big Sam was able to knock of Wenger. Congratulations to the Palace boys, one hell of a fight. Bravo, Bravo.

Champions League Tuesday

When I am researching teams from these different leagues that I do not play often, I try and utilize a couple different things that I think might be effective. First, public perception. Other than some basic knowledge and watching previous rounds, I am pretty JoePublic in this instance. Understanding that you are not sharp on something is the easiest way to try and figure out which is the sharp side of a game. For instance, in this first game. 3.5 goals in the first leg of a Champions League SemiFinal? My goodness, that is WAY TOO many goals. Anyways. Second, I try and match the different strengths and weaknesses of teams to see if they may results in a particular outcome in relation to totals. For instance, look at this...( https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/248/Show/France-Monaco ). Down towards the bottom (Team Characteristics), you see that Monaco thrives in a position where they can create a multitude of chances, and Dortmund ( https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/44/Show ) really struggles with creating those chances. It seems that these styles should mesh in a way that could produce fireworks. Lastly, its the eye test. Nothing scientific. Ive watched Monaco on defense in two rounds here and they are constantly in bad positions. If the other team would have had a decent finisher, they might not have been in any of those matches. City had that on a platter and couldn't capitalize. So there, that is how I go about these games. On to the action....

Borussia Dortmund & AS Monaco O3.5 +115 ($100 ---> $115)

Juventus +155 ($100 ---> $155) - Antonio Conte has taken over the EPL with his defensive style that nobody can really figure out. His combination of top-end midfielders with super athletic wing-backs has stopped teams from doing pretty much anything against them all year. The issue he had a Chelsea is that his defenders are old and slow. Its not the case with Juventus. The man built a juggernaut before he left and it has pretty much continued to roll without him. They are the Spurs, Patriots, etc of soccer right now. They don't make mistakes and they wait to take advantage of yours. Look at their areas of weakness - https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/87/Show/Italy-Juventus - Barcelona on the other hands is all glitz and glamour and very little substance. Especially their aging back line and midfield that has been recently struck with injuries. I love Juventus in this spot. Yes, any team that faces this sort of opponent could get 'super-star'd' but if these teams play 10 times, Juventus wins outright 7 of them at home.

Bayern Munich & Real Madrid O3 +105 ($100 ---> $105) - Both teams are struggling with injuries in the back. Naturally, I think that Bayern is the better side, but I worry about how they will adjust in their first outing since the loss of Hummels. He is such a key piece in their aerial defense, I think there could be a couple opportunities, especially early for Real Madrid to get on the board. Over time, I believe the class of Bayern will show themselves and they will be able to put up two or three goals themselves. Im looking at a 3-2 or 2-2 sort of game.

Once the team totals on Athletico Madrid & Leceister City Team Totals come out, I will most likely be back for another play.

Best of luck and congratulations to the other Juve backers today. Well done!
