Braves have done very little in this series but still find themselves tied at 1-1, John Thomson's career numbers vs Houston are poor as well, a 6.95 lifetime ERA, and Houston batters have a career avg of.298 vs Thompson...although some of those stats are inflated as Thompson did pitch in Colorado...
Brandon Backe comes into this start as hot as anyone 4-1 @ Houston and a very nice 2.61 ERA...Atlanta has never faced Backe, which should favor the youngster as well...Houston has not lost at home in 14 straight...
The line seems low considering how hot the Astros have been, and how poorly Atlanta has been hitting....I expect Houston to take care of business this weekend in the Dome :drink:
