After much discussion, reward no longer exceeds risk in gaming offshore.

There have always been the risks of banks closing your accounts, audits, stiff jobs, etc. In the past, in our opinion, the reward had outweighed the risk.

At this point, in our opinions, the risk far outweighs the reward.

Making money gambling is hard work. It's more of a lifestyle than a job. Frankly, I believe you have to enjoy it to excel at it. I don't enjoy reading each day who has been indicted, who has closed down, and how fucked up the United States is. Quite frankly, I don't have the energy to even begin looking at the games.

Moving offshore doesnt solve the problems.

The combination of Pinnacle closing + the likely netelller shut down to come + continued government pressure on offshore books spells disaster. There is going to be a run on the books and I dont think that many are solvent. I think over the next 3-6 a number will go belly up or dissapear.

Once I get my last two withdrawals, for the first time in about 10 years, I will have no (Except amounts to small to withdraw) money offshore. It is a sad day.

We'll reevaluate the situation in a few months, but think conservatism will save money in the long run.

Sadly, it is no longer fun.

Yep.

Hitting 54% is meaningless if you constantly have to worry about your money.

Blew the dust of some old locals phone numbers tonite. Not as fun as clicking buttons and betting halftimes but slowly pulling out myself.

Was thinking about keeping money in a few books but even that is causing unnescassary worry. Like you said it's hard enough to win at this but throw in the stress of worrying about other stuff and your frame of mind just isn't right.

Whatever you decide to do next please keep us posted. I have alot of time, energy and some extra money, now I have to decide what to do with it.

I agree as well. I have pulled my BR and am looking into differents routes to invest in or start a small business.

I hope in time things will settle down but not willing to take the risk of it for now.

this guy is laughable. first he's going to move to australia or canada and continue gambling, then he says i might come back and forth, now this. this guy is the definition of a flip flop.

Yes, this guy has everything available to gamble through Canada or elsewhere. I actually spent today getting friends to be willing to set up neteller accounts in London, Rome, and 2 in Panama.

But upon further consideration, what good does it do if books are folding left and right.

Pinnacle, Carib, Grande this week.

Canbet, 365, Bowmans already.

I can't make the books stay open regardless where I live. That's not flip flopping. That's reality. Right there 6 of the most reputable 15 books have closed. 3 this week. I believe it is prudent in my opinion to see where the chips fall before moving...

Dub, I could never bet sports in NV. I've tried it in the past. It is not for me. If I had a team, I suppose I could do it.

If you moved though to Canada or Australia like you stated you'd be able to wager. Thats why you were going to leave, so you could continue to bet. But now its like your changing your tune.

Dr03-

It has nothing to do with betting. I am able to bet at both Pinnacle and Canbet right now!!!

It simply has to do with keeping money offshore.

For a long time, I had 90% of my net worth offshore. My last two withdrawals will be less than 5%.

If I cant feel comfortable with money offshore, it doesnt matter if I live on the moon.

And if any of you think there's enough sports gamblers in the rest of the world to keep these books open you have never work offshore. They are just not there.

All these books can't keep going. The more players the more books, and now there's going to be alot less players and that would mean alot less ????

Pinnacle closed up shop to everyone? They only closed up to americans. And if you were goign to set up accounts in foreign countries why would it matter if they closed up to americans?

You need to step away from your computer for a few hours and relax. :smoker2:

If you think most books are gonna go the pinnacle route when they close down, you need to step away from your computer.

Think of all the books that take a week to pay you. You think they are gonna pay when they walk away?

Thanks,

Wow man, I'm never one to preach, but working in a financial aspect I think you really need to reevaluate that statement right there.

Diversity is the key.

Why should I reevaluate?

I'm young, my worth is 100% recreatable (If thats a word) and the offshore environment used to offer me the best return.... I'd keep 4-6 months of expenses onshore...

Right.

Likewise with Canbet, bet365, Bowmans.

Carib & Grande too i assume.

The big books aren't going anywhere, just dumping USAers.

They may cutback in staff for a while, but in the longrun over
the years to come should more than make up for Yankee losses.
