Last week on Michigan also... Line opened up at 8 and moved to 14.. People were actually calling me telling me that my Minny pick was toast because of the Line Movement..... Don't you wish it was that easy RT.

I don't get it either. I've seen some of the worst lines and totals plays this season that I've ever seen. I don't think hardly anybody on this board has heard of line value. Why spend a thousand bucks on a line that's been cut in half. If it was the game of the year or whatever he's calling this one, it shouldn't have taken him a week to figure that out.
I completely agree with GoSooners and Rolltide. I recently found a local that will let me make wagers on Sunday night and Monday morning. This has been huge for me unlike in the past where I couldnt get a hold of my guy until Thursday evening. Just like I posted on Sunday morning in this forum, the oddsmakers are pretty damn sharp right now with the closing numbers. These line movements for the most part are killing the average bettor that is playing the game 10 min. before kickoff. Playing ECU at -41 or -42 is just dumb.....You missed the party and the boat left without you. When they win by 40, do not come on here complaining.
I get your guys point but not everyone has the luxury, especially with a local. I like knowing I won't have to provide my first born child and 10 forms of ID to receive my check from the royal bank of Costa Rica like back in my poker days. Furthermore I doubt either of you are camping out at the Wynn to get the actual opening lines so we're all guilty to some degree.

Don't get what? Nice condescending attitude you've got there. I'm sure you've played plenty of games at a worse line than at the opening bell. We all have to weigh how much value is actually lost. Especially in college football which is much more volatile than NFL anyway.
Dont forget this is entertainment for most.
