Assuming the Tribe holds the lead, he'll be 19-2.

I tried to find Cleveland's record with him starting (TRBS- team record behind starter) but couldn't find it, can someone dig that up for me?

he has been absolutely outstanding this year.
that said, it wouldnt surprise me if he went 11-10 next year with an era in the 4s. nothing but credit due his way for a remarkable season (esp. with a AAA team playing behind him) but i think 2009 will be a little more back to earth.

I agree Me and a fellow poster (coworker) were talking about this today. He asked me what I thought the line should be. I said -220 He said nope its 154. The Tigers are toast and starting a rookie. Not sure why this line was so off.

Prodigy you sure like to rip the Indians. I would put that AAA team up against a lot of major league teams. Especially the Tigers with all of their so called stars.

The Indians don't have a bad team. They should of won their division and I would say they are the most under performing team of '08. With that said Cliff Lee most likely will be a good fading option starting next year. He has had good run support this year and has pitched incredibly well. I don't trust him to be nearly as good next year though, and if you give Halladay his run support he would have a record similar as well. Halladay also pitches in a hitters park against the best division in baseball by far. Cliff Lee pitches in a pitchers park against a terrible division (can't say the worst because the NL West is just brutal). Not saying Lee hasn't been amazing, but Halladay has been pretty much as good this year IMO.

And as for todays line. No way should it have been any higher. Cleveland should not be a -200 favorite ON THE ROAD against a team with a better record, no matter who was pitching for the other team.

Agree completely. He's a good pitcher but not this good. I suspect he will revert to his old form next season.
