They have gone from 2 games out of first to 3.5 up since Manny's arrival.

Think about this, we have had pitchers win the MVP playing LESS games.

The numbers he has put up are just sick, sick, sick.

If they win the division, HE WILL CERTAINLY GARNISH SOME VOTES FOR MVP............which is just incredible really. I wonder if any writer(s) will actually give him a first place vote??<!-- / message -->

I don't why you'd only count his numbers in the NL? Is that a rule, that you have to only count the numbers in the conference he's playing in currently? Same thing with CC. Not sure what his numbers look like for the season, but they aren't nearly as impressive as his numbers just from the Brewers.

I think you should have to count the entire year, AL Or NL. Still, I'd say Manny is up there with Pujols for MVP. My vote goes to Albert though.

Yeah great numbers but he has literally zero chance of winning MVP.

Pujols numbers are truly ridiculous and they are legitimate with 450+ AB's.

Manny has improved those around him as well:
Ethier is must improved, he has added 27 points to his average since the Aug 1st trade.

From .274 to .301

9 HR (20 for the year total)

PAPI has 4 HR since the trade and has gone from .261 to .265.

For better or worse, MLB statistics are only compiled by league.

Brings to mind some of the great interleague trades from past years and the stats racked up in the second league.

Rick Sutcliffe from Indians to Cubs in 1984 ....16-3 for the Cubs if I recall correctly (My baseball trivia brain cells are too vain to actually look it up).
