Horseracing is off the Menu until the New Year but NBA, which was surprisingly sucessful for me last year is back in business. I must admit that although being a total greenhorn, I am very optimistic considering the talent pool on here that I will be following. After the full pockets of last years NBA I thought I could make money on another sport I know zilch about, MLB. Not only did I get my nuts squeezed, I was at a loss to know why. Thankfully my lack of knowledge made me curtail the whole project before it got serious.

Last Week in the NFL, once the fog of drink had lifted Monday, I had lost £16. I am finding it progressively harder to justify the hours I put in studying for what seems to be toss-ups. That vague look on Homer Simpsons face was me exactly, sitting at the computer watching my certain Miami bet hit the skids in surreal fashion. While I did not bet against The Steelers, I had plenty to say in so much that I felt they were most over-rated. It would be easy for me after their performance to just admit that I was wrong but where does that leave everybody else who said their secondary was a disaster. What has suddenly come good and if Ros-whatshisname is such a good QB, how come the coaches didnt think he was good enough to start.

My betting Week was saved as usual by trawling this Forum. Occam's first NBA bet of the season hosed in, followed by two from Hansen. After reading reports about Omni Frog, two wins in NBA plus a college side proved they were not unfounded. Several posters, including the revered OldManTed gave me what was my easiest win in memory, Wisconsin. No losers all Week until Sunday. :WTF:

I see the topic of plagiarism surfaced again with Allstar taking it in the neck. I'm surprised it's not brought up more considering how many are doing it. Personally, I think the info is the important thing, not the way it's conveyed. Another hot topic was the advice people were giving to a supposedly in deep player. I was of the view that the whole thing was started for a joke but some of the replies were alarming. I was going to post at the time that there is nothing worse than gambling addiction. Drugs or alcohol take time for someone to lose everything but as anyone who has seen it up close, gambling ruin lives very quickly, not something to joke about.

Backing Buffalo @ 500/1 for the AFC East was a nice touch, albeit for £20. Hedgeing Arizona @ 55/1 for the NFC West was not such a good move.

Good Luck, more players should look around and find a capper on TheRx to follow, if they struggle at a certain sport.
