I don't think he is either but I did exactly this about 9 years ago and this forum tore me up for doing it.

My opinion is if the book offers it, it's fair game.

Duh, no one likes you. Lol. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Well,,, I guess im the only nerd that thinks its a dik move??

its one thing to play for an angle,, but a whole dif thing to steal,, and that is what he did,,, Hey, these books do many shit things to us,,, but its what WE DONT SEE behind the scenes that causes them to be jerks to us,,

anyway,, dik move,, wish they would of canceld his bet, and given him a warning to not do it again, or face being banned,,

what if a dude that had never bet in his life and was clueless to what a spread even is makes a play for his friend because his friend had a funeral to attend?

GREAT EXAMPLE,,,

Friend- hello sir can i cash this ticket?

Sportsbook- we would be happy too sir, oh,,, it looks as if theres been a terrible mistake, we are so sorry,,, apparently the moneyline you bet should of been -1500 not +1500, so we can offer you a few things,,,

1. we can give you the RISK payout of your $$ ammount? equal to that of -1500?
2. we can refund your $$ 100% and offer you a dinner for 2 at our high end restaraunt?
3. We can offer you 2 premium tickets to 1 of our upcoming shows that we host here.,,,

which would you like? your business is important to us, again we are terribly sorry that line was posted incorrectly.

Friend- well I guess I will take option 1, Im sure my friend will understand this is most fair, as he is not a thief,,

if only all books acted this way right?? someone should offer me a job huh? lolol

What happens if the bet lost? Do you also get these options? I mean do you get in contact with the guy to refund him?

Um no the bet lost? Your comment only makes sense if they free roll him which they wouldn't have done in the example.

I have no issue with what your friend did, but I sure wouldn't go around bragging about it. He bet into an obviously bogus line? Wow how sharp.

well...the dude at the funeral actually cashes the ticket (with the idiot friend nearby). and he wants whats on the ticket. that ticket is a contract imo-and probably in court- if they take the bet in person.
get better workers if they don't recognize that. in the interim...you pay what you spit out. not saying I would do this...but I think they owe it

Nothing wrong with taking advantage of a mistake. But agree with the poster that said it isn't much to brag about.

I agree 1000% with good lines,, and slow to move propositions,, thats been discussed in here a million times,, but something thats been obviously flipped?? I dont know man,, bums me out,, its so abhorrently wrong ya know?

heres where I agree with everyone,, lets say TODAY a book is offering 18-1 on NBA PHILI to win it all,, there are books out there with BETTER and WORSE,,, and lets say a Trade is made day of deadline and they get a Durant to come there,, (SHOCKING) and you hit it for the 18-1 and that night it moves to 5-1,,

is that deceitful,,, NOOO fk no,,, thats what it is,,, and its up to the books to adjust accordingly,,

what makes me furious equally as much as this thread,, is when THAT book doesnt want to honor someones 18-1,, thats WRONG,, them being slow to move a line doesnt negate the fact that a trade went through,, and they were not sharp enough to catch it,,

but again,, a glaring mistake?? not cool,,
