What's the point in mailing out a letter like this? Addressed as though it came from an attorney? Is that to make sure the person will open it? These marketing strategies are getting more and more aggressive it seems. Not for the best either.

If books put forth half as much effort in taking care of the players they already have as they do in recruiting new players they'd be further ahead in the game.

Most junk mail gets dumped unopen. So when you see a return address is a Law Office, most people can't help themselves, and will open the letter to see what it is about.

wil.

About 4 weeks ago I received one of these promo letters from these guys.

The following week, guess what another letter.

Then last week no joke, LOL, I got 15 letters on the same day. ALL THE SAME!!

I guess they just don't know when to give up. LOL

THAT'S PRETTY BAD. THEY MUST HAVE A LOT OF SUCKERS WHO FALL FOR THAT. COLD CALLING IS ONE THING, BUT THIS IS THE BOTTOM.

DannyMay...The word not is 10x smaller than ATTORNEYS AT LAW.
I didn't even see it until i put on my reading glasses.
I wouldn't send this book 1 dime,and by that i mean 10 cents!!!!

JM:
I got that 'attorney's letter' too, from MVP.
It did prompt me to open it though. Howver, after I opened it, it made it 100% sure I would never deal with MVP. So what did they gain?

im not sure i dont like this better than getting the flood of openly sportsbetting related material like nasa, first fidelity, et al like to send out. i'm sure if anyone asks my postman who bets on sports he could lead them straight to my house. a few weeks before football season he'd probably like to!

to be fair i do use mvp a lot. i dont care for their horrible moneyline and prop vigs and their marketing tactics do leave a whole lot to be desired but just like first fidelity if thats what it takes to keep the payouts coming on time more power to them! and they do pay on time everytime.

I got the same a week or two ago....and it certainly is an attention getter-to say the least.

Know what you mean about the mailman-like when you open your box and find 6 schedule books from BETUS.COM on the same day-and they are usually outdated books

I am under the impression this is correct. Still does not make it right.

Marketing has gotten beyond fair. Whatever happened to respecting privacy?

Totally agree- was just enlightening others that they may see the same sort of marketing tactics from the sister books
