Have loved the "Valley" since starting to bet in mid 80's. Local always asked my go between "why does Birdie bet obscure games like Creighton, Bradley, etc?.. when living in Big East territory. Always thought I could find value in undercovered conference that was underrated--hard to get good up to date info though and some losses hurt as I would find out post bet that a key player would not be playing for my team. Loved the Jays with Gallagher and Hartstead and So Ill was beastly at home and weak on the road. Got burned yesterday by going against Valley at two tough road venues: Wyoming and W Kentucky but that's why it's gambling. Both Witchita and So Ill should toughness as home teams had late mo but couldn't close the deal for home folks.
By the way, Ill St lost to Evansville(another obscure moneymaker for me in 80s) yesterday.
