I think he improved his chances this year. 260 wins is not chop suey.
I think Tommy John has more and has yet to get in. Ted Lyons, he's in, played his entire career with the WhiteSox & was 260-230 pretty impressive for a player who played significant time with only one Hall of Famer playing significant time behind him, Luke Appling.
He's on the bubble.

no way this guy gets in. Mediocre pitcher who played beyond what he should have to inflate his numbers.

Congrats Mike

For one of the most accomplished pitchers of his generation, the climb to Cooperstown was methodical. On Tuesday, Mike Mussina completed that march toward immortality. The Baseball Writers' Association of America voted Mussina into the Hall of Fame, where he will be inducted as part of a six-man class this July.
A model of consistency during his 18-year career, Mussina appeared on 326 of 425 ballots. That earned him 76.7 percent of vote, just past the 75 percent threshold for induction, in his sixth year of eligibility. His election puts a bow on a career Mussina essentially split between Baltimore and New York, winning 270 games, posting a 3.68 ERA and earning five All-Star selections.

Just absurd to put him in the HoF

It totally devalues the honor.

Complete joke!!! He is a good pitcher, no where near HOF level.

The BBWAA are making the HOF a joke with how many people they have voted in the last few years...

maybe im just harder on players then others but i think the hall should be for the elite players and i dont see mike in that category. Perfect example he is getting over 5 runs a game of support this season. Anyone that eats up innings will win a majority of those.

It's 2019, just be decent, make 2-3 all star games and have a 10-12 year career and you will get in. Thats where the world is at these days.
