Just love how he can interject the spread into the telecast. He has to be a big time gambler and you can tell where he has his money based on how he calls the game. It's sooo obvious.

Can't believe he gets away with his bias on air. And it happens every year, this is nothing new. Nice to see we have unbiased people calling our sports games, I guess its no longer just biased newscasters now we have sports games with bias. Yikes. and Herbstriet went to OSU, ganna be a nice neutral booth.

Brent Musburger Responds to Firestorm, Compliments Holly Rowe

This won't surprise anyone who regularly reads this site, but I love when individuals are willing to stand up to the stupidity of large organizations.
Last week Brent Musburger called a beauty queen beautiful and unleashed a torrential storm of criticism. That criticism eventually led to the New York Times trotting out a feminist Big Ten professor to categorically deplore men caling women beautiful during a sporting event and ESPN ultimately apologized for Musburger's comments going too far.
Through it all, Musburger said nothing.
Until last night.
Last night Musburger signed off from the Baylor-Kansas basketball game, his first contest since the nontroversy at the BCS title game, and ended the broadcast thusly: "For Fran Fraschilla, and Holly Rowe, who was really smokin' tonight, I want to say so long from Lawrence."
God, I love Brent Musburger.
What a perfect response.
Here's the video:

The ball is now in ESPN's court.
I reached out to see if ESPN had a comment on Musburger's serial, wanton, and outrageous complimenting of women. I mean, this guy is completely out of control! What's next? Is he going to call ANOTHER woman good looking?
Can ESPN stand for this?
Heavens! If you can't tell I'm clutching my pearls and attempting not to faint. (Even gay muslims like pearls.)
ESPN's response, and I am not making this up, "Brent said the word 'it," we are moving on."
The word it?
So according to ESPN Brent Musburger said, "For Fran Fraschilla and Holly Rowe, it was really smokin' tonight, I want to say so long from Lawrence."
Whatever.
How many different times is ESPN going to have to clarify what its announcers actually said?
Assuming Musburger said what he said, this is the absolute perfect response to a stupid corporate response which was brought on by stupid quotes from stupid feminists in Bill Cosby sweaters.
Musburger gets the final word.
And he wins.
This is as close to a walkoff homerun as an announcer can get, ladies and gentlemen.

Can't believe the Musburger story got so much play. That chick (the Bama beauty queen) should send him 10% of everything she's going to make thanks to his comments....

Over the years, Musburger has dealt with personl issues including "sport beting". He always had keen peripheral (and frontal) vision for the "pretty girls" as well.
Such is the life of a sportscaster. They say he still takes a "poke' every now-and-then while on the road.
