I like the card at Monmouth today. Here are some that look promising to me for each race...
R1 - #7 A Looker (5-1) Yikes, a 14-time maiden? This is an absolute garbage field - maybe she can sit back and take advantage as neither the #6 or #8 should be able to hold their speed.
R2 - #5 Jim's Bronze Star (3-1) Looks like O'Connor found the magic. Different animal since he took over.
R3 - #9 Rock The Stars (6-1) Improving with each race. Should be closing fast.
R4 - #5 Starship Reina (12-1) I've been burned more than once by this 9 year old mare, but I know she'll give me a thrill before she ultimately folds. Worth a shot at what will likely be LONG odds, though.
R5 - #1 Nothing Better (3-1) Rendon is a highly underrated turf jockey, although he's had a rough start to this meet. If he breaks well, he can get there.
R6 - #1 Hey Hey Haley (6-1) Another inside speed choice. Should be able to make the lead.
R7 - #5 On The Couch (7-2) Going to jump on Rendon's back again. Especially if there's action on this horse. Pretty weak field.
R8 - #4 Hushion (5-1) I think the even money favorite is vulnerable here. Maybe some Timmy Hills' magic milkshake gets the job done today.
R9 - #9 Belgrano (5-1) Back home from Florida to his favorite track. May get caught wide, but the inside speed here isn't all that inspiring.
Playing all and only horizontals today at Monmouth. Hope I don't take a beating.
