Gonna try Santa Anita today...

Race 1: 6- Our Tiger’s Boy (ML 6-1)

I think this race is between the 6 and 7. Gonna go with the 6, blinkers off. Not sure if there is enough pace for the 7 to close.

Today's Race of the Day is the G3- Sycamore at Keeneland going 1 1/2 on Turf for 3yo and up.

DRF expert pick the 5- Arklow (ML 5-2) which is the ML favorite and judging from his last race, I can see why. He beat the 1, 4, 6 and 10, but can he duplicate the same effort? Last race was a great ride by jockey Geroux. Not sure what odds I am willing to take. I am more interested in the 6- Bigger Picture (ML 3-1) and the 9- Zulu Alpha (ML 10-1). The 6- Bigger Picture rallied last time against the 5-Arklow and just came short. This 7 yo gelding has a lot of back class and has proven on the 1 1/2 distance (9 starts 2win, 2place and 2show). However, my play will be the 9- Zulu Alpha because of his tactical speed; he should sit right behind the front runners. Hopefully, he has enough left in the tank in the stretch to have an effect on the outcome. My only concern is the distance (but I think his pedigree should be ok with 1 1/2). He was claimed by John Ortiz (excellent turf trainer) last race for $80K and now he is running him in a G3. If a lot of money is on the 4, 5, and 6, that will help his odds. The last time he ran against Arklow which was on March 24 at 1 1/8; he got third, lost to Arklow by 3/4 length and he was 91-1 on that day. I think that if the pace is slow, it should help his chance. At ML 10-1 (probably higher at post time), I am going take a shot.

$5 WP 9
$2 Ex 6,9/4,5,6,9
$0.50 Tri 6,9/5,6,9/3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11

Total Wagered: $34.00
