The last i heard from THE SHRINK(30+ hours ago), he was leaning towards the VT side.

Dont know how strongly, or for that matter, if he has changed his mind completely.

I think VIRGINIA TECH matches up good against Auburn. Miami Fla had a hard time moving the ball against Virginia Tech and alot other teams did too, Auburn has a good defense too, but I am going to bet Virginia Tech +6 as I speak and I will try to find a 45 on the total and go under or I will look for under 23 in the 1st half.

Frankly, I think they played well enough that they might well have won with a break here and there. The dropped touchdown pass at the goal line would have put a whole new light on the game had it been complete.

Also, it looked like VT got hosed on a couple of penalties that negated big plays in the first half. VT is without a doubt a prominent program and will continue to be in the years ahead.

FWIW I was super heavy with Auburn bucks and glad to have it as I thought VT had a very legit shot at winning the game.

I've got news for you guys. Dropping TD passes when you are wide open in the endzone is not "playing well enough to cover".

Perhaps you are right. I must say, however, losing by three when you are getting 6/6.5 is well within the parameters of "playing well enough to cover."

Missing a chip shot field goal from inside the 10 isn't playing well enough to cover. Getting the ball first and goal twice in the game and coming away with zero points isn't playing well enough to cover. Va Tech got lucky to cover that game with an eighty yard pass for a TD.




Sometimes the team that played the best doen't always cover or win the game. Luck plays a huge factor in many of these games.

Thanks for the enlightenment. While I feel bad about doing so, I think I'll still go ahead and cash my tickets. I don't deserve the dough, but sure am glad VT was "lucky" enough to score enough points to cover.
