When it came to homers no one has ever been a bigger homer than Sal The Ital is/was when it came to The New York Yankees.

These days I can tell how the Yanks or Red Sox do by the thread titles and I am not talking about simple ones like Red Sox lose to lowly D-Rays which is obvious. Usually you will see threads like AROD does this or that shitty if the Yanks lose on any given night, or Curse of The Bambino still Haunts Red Sox which means the Sox lost that night.

As far Mr. Smith goes, I like his his threads (of course I am a lifelong Red Sox fan)..

Question:

Which Rx. poster bitches about the officiating (no matter the sport) more than any other here at The Rx?

Degree of difficulty - almost zero - it' that easy.

is it Lander?
<!-- / message -->

Bingo...Lander still complains about the snowstorm call on the hit on Brady by The Raiders in the playoffs 6 years ago. Off course that call was karma making up for the famous Ben Dreith call against the Patriots for the Raiders that put them in the 1976 Super Bowl.

In the 1976 Playoffs with the Patriots up by three points in final two minutes, referee Ben Dreith calls roughing the passer on New England's Sugar Bear Hamilton after he nicks Oakland QB Ken Stabler's helmet, Hamilton had also tipped the ball with the same hand which nullified any potential roughing or pass interference, and the follow thru caused him to graze Stabler's helmet, it was 4th. and goal from the Pats 13 instead of game over the Raiders get 1st down on the Pats 6. Raiders go on to score a touchdown in the final minute to win 21-17, and go on to win the Super Bowl. Dreith notoriously bad to begin with was demoted to back judge the following year. The Patriots had to wait until December of 2001 and the snowstorm call to get even. The call that Brady's arm was in a throwing motion was long overdue poetic justice. A side note: That year (1976) the Raiders lost one game all year it was at at Foxboro 49-17 to the Pats, I was at the game, and the Raiders got their asses kicked like it was nobody's busines.

I didn't even make the list? I am clearly the biggest Bears homer here... That is where I made the biggest fool of myself... Also a big White Sox homer but am very real about that team. Will give advice and honesty about this team. I wouldn't bet a dime on them right now because they are lost... Very good homer better in college hoops although this year I lost a few big bets...

Illinois State and MVC
Marquette
Penn State
White Sox
Bears
Bulls
and Hawks...

But I don't bet very blindly often... Bears bet was stupid and obnoxious but I did call they would make the Super Bowl haha... Penn State adn the rest I am pretty realistic about them sometimes to hard on them... But very knowledgeable about all the teams... Follow them as close as you can follow a team... But yes I belong on that list after the Bears season

My all Rx homer team

P- Fishhead his Iowa stuff alone has him making this squad, I will never see the letters I-O-W-A without think of -FH- ever again..

1b- Rob Funk , a definite man crush on Beckett going on as we speak.

C- Railbird, do I have to explain this one? Stuck him at catcher because I don't think he can run.

SS- Choptalk , Braves, Saints, himself ...Chop sends people from AA to the HOF.

DH- Kojak, I'm gonna keep Kojak off the field and have him DH, Telly did receive a W.S. ring for his contributions to the Cards last fall.

3B -D2Bets , Cubs fan Bears fan, Mark Prior will win 20 games this year, Cubs will win 95 insert any year over the next ______.

2B Illini, I don't think he's ever been wrong either.

LF Mr Smith , he's been quite busy of late trying to hammer down MVP honors.

CF TomBrady, he's toned it down of late, wait til the fall when NE and football return.

RF Sal the Ital , big Yankees homer, he just doesn't have much to brag about of late.

on the bench- Viking , SkinsRaj, Dsethi, Crunch, Royalfan...I will add more later.

That's a great list. Railbird and Chop are definitely the anchors of this squad.

Just saw Seymour was omitted. Unforgivable, this guy should be batting cleanup.

I'd be lying if I said I hate to say, but (much like I was right about Iraq and WMD before it was popular) ....

... I TOLD YOU SO.

There is a lot of shady crap going on, and better you bottom dollar it doesn't start and end with this one NBA official.

Just saw this list now. Sure, I get excited about my teams, but I said from day 1 till the last game last year that Illinois sucked in basketball. I want my teams to win every game, but that doesn't make a homer. Are you a homer if you celebrate your team winning the World Series? A homer is someone who doesn't see reality.
