I asked Mr. Sharp for his Saturday Plays earlier than usual because I will not be around tonight or tomorrow morning. He said "No problem" and has given me this strong play to share with you. Remember his record is 11-5 with Friday's match pending. The line movement on the Friday match was nothing short of incredible. Hopefully the result will be just as sweet.

England - Championship

The Play: Sheffield United -1 +109

Mr. Sharp believes this game should be at least -1 and -1.5. Sheffield United is a very good team and was playing very well until their last match where they got steam rolled by Ipswich Town. Sheffield has lost just once in their last 8 games. Gillingham is at the bottom of the Standings, while Sheffield is near the top. Gillingham has just 1 win and 8 losses in their last 11 matches. Furthermore Sheffield United beat Gillingham 3-1 in Gillingham. Now Sheffield hosts this game and should win this one rather easily.

Well lets see if this line gets steamed at all. I am not even sure he released his play to his friends/partners. He gave it to me very early.

Being a Saturday match I expect Pinnacle will do much more volume on this and the lines wont move around as much without a significant volume.

I notice that the pick is in the English Championship again. I don't know the exact stats but I would imagine that Mr.Sharp's record in this league is even stronger. I personally can't remember him making a play that didn't win in this league other than the Crewe 2-2 tie which was still a win/push.

I must admit I am surprised at how far this line has dropped although Pinnacle did have one of the highest starting numbers for Sheffield. I have played the bet elsewhere from Pinnacle so if the line drops much further at Pinnacle I will play some scalps there to try and prop the line up for you guys.

I have bet Sheffield as Mr.Sharp advised although it "stuck in the throat" a bit due to my personal dislike of their outspoken coach Neil Warnock.

I have never been a fan of his but my dislike of him increased a few years back due to his role in a now infamous match dubbed "the battle of Bramhall Lane". In this match Sheffield played a rival team (West Brom) who there was already bad blood with. Sheffield were losing the match and their players lost their cool and committed some of the worst incidents of foul play on a soccer field I have seen.

In the end Sheffield had so many players sent off for foul play that the match had to be abandoned by the referee under a FIFA ruling. It is said that Warnock (himself sent from the sidelines) sent his final players on the pitch to deliberately get sent off knowing the match would be abandoned.

Not really relevant but an interesting (or maybe not) aside.

My personal favorite places to bet soccer are Pinnacle, Pointbet, Betfair, Mansion and Coral Eurobet. I am not sure that all of these accept clients from the US so there could be issues there.

Of these as far as I know Pinnacle, Coral and Betfair are rock solid.

Pointbet is my personal favorite but there are concerns about where they may be operating from (Indonesia?). Personally I have played there for a few years requested some big payouts and have always been paid promptly without delay. They are the lowest juice (for soccer) and probably the sharpest lines of all the places I play. They used to do -105 for US sports but they have increased their vig due to lower volume.

Mansion are the new kid on the block and you can find plenty of opinions about them here at the Rx.

My personal assesment is that I take little risk having funds at Coral, Betfair and Pinnacle. A small/medium risk having funds at Pointbet but with a good reward and a medium/high risk having funds at Mansion until they are proven further. The luxury I have in leaving funds at Mansion is that I made quite alot of money early on hitting their soft lines so if I did get stiffed for a large amount this initial profit would offset some of the loss.

Mr.Sharp has done us proud again on this one. The money coming in on matchday looks to have been all on Sheffield and now the line is -1 & -1.5 -105.

The best line i can see for Shefield -1 is now at -135. Looks like we got the early value again.

Mr.Sharp identified the value correctly as the large steam move showed but Sheffield couldn't get the job done.

These type of results are inevitable from time to time I suppose but over a long period if Mr.Sharp can keep identifying the value we should come out ahead.
