Hustler982... the answer is yes. Just pick the one with the less juice (it's usually the -.5 number). Obviously your team has to win either way.

I don't know soccer well. Is -.5 really the same as ML ? I thought it could end in a tie, or is this some kind of play-off. Wouldn't a tie result in a push on ML ? Please clarify.

No. On the straight moneyline there is 3 way wagering. You can bet either side OR you can bet that it will be a draw. Therefore if the game ends in a draw you would only win if you bet "Draw". Below is an example from the English Premier League. On the moneyline, Arsenal is -325, Birmingham is +850 and the DRAW is +325.

Kabbage: No, that doesn't explain it at all. You told Hustler it was the same, now you tell me it's not the same ! I looked at Pinny's rules, it says regulation time only + whatever that added time stuff is.

I made a small play -.5 -121. I really don't get this stuff being a dumb American.

I'll take a shot at it-- and i'm not trying to be a know it all...

Those Pinny rules cover both playoff & regular season games, & resemble American Hockey rules, while contrasting basketball rules.
Stoppage time is added to all games as needed for each half--has nothing to do with whatever the score is & is considered part of that half, NOT an extra period.

And as you know, in a regular season game in most leagues, besides the stoppage time added to make up for the game being interrupted due to injuries, there is no tie-breaker extra period of OT or penalty kicks.

Meaning that, if this were a championship game and you had the -½ team: if the game ended tied in regulation, you would lose the bet EVEN if your team subsequently won-- even if they scored a kazillion goals in OT / shootout-- that extra period also does not count for the Totals. In this way i believe, those rules resemble our Hockey rules, as opposed to BB rules.

The only time a tie would be a push, would be if by chance the Goals Line was set at pik'em.

To further confuse things, there can be also be two-way, besides the three-way ML betting: in two way, a tie does push: but you would readily recognize this because a tie would not be listed as an extra option together w/ each team's odds.
