There are only 2 movie rental stores within 50 miles of me. These Red Box machines and Netflix seem to have taken over.

It's too bad, as a kid I used to love walking around the movie store trying to pick out a movie. Looking at the dry erase/chalk boards with the upcoming movies and new releases. The older movie deals, 5 movies 5 days 5 dollars.

Even around 2008 I remember having this blockbuster account, it was like $20 monthly and you could rent as many movies as you wanted to. Could have 3 out at any one time and it didn't mater if you came in 3x a day to get new movies. I was a movie fanatic a while ago, but never went in more than twice in one day! :ohno:

Are there any movie rental stores still open by you?

Redbox sucks REALLY BAD

I love Netflix.

But I really do miss going to the movie rental places. Especially when I was in the mood for an older movie. Plus I just liked the experience.

I remember walking in to the local video store and peeping in the "adults only" section.
